I think this design was pulled out of a file cabinet marked, "1970s Building Concepts."

With the right façade, the building could look alright.

However, I think Mexico City deserves a better, more modern looking Supertall than this.

That's true, and it was because we first saw Reforma's journal renders, ugly and with poor quality, now we saw the conceptual rendering by Koolhaas! awesomely diferent and with that RK stylish touch.

PostData: Some mexican air authorities are trying to scare with that "dangerous flights trajectory" sh*t..

O simplemente su ubicación arbitraria.

It seems they don't have "spacial habilities" to understand the diference between 300 meters (900 ft) and 2, 901 meters (9, 700 fit) !!!

Kind of seems slightly to much of a good design for mexico city, probably would suit a more futurics skyline such as dubai.

I don't think its that futuristic looking, after all, according to Mr. Koolhass he based the design on piramids from precolumbian cultures in Mexico.

Now the INBA (Mexican Ministry of Culture and Arts) is trying to stop the project because they claim that the building site contains a valuable historic building that serves as a crappy old General Motors car dealer. Bastards, I hope this won't affect the project realization

Nope, it's just a closed gas station and a workshop. The building is falling down by itself... Too deteriorated.

wow, i love it!
that bizarre void running through its centre will be incredible!
Its a great example of OMAs banal-exciting, ugly-amazing way of designing...

Koolhaas Great design, at first I didn't loke it, but then, when the renders appears I realize the wonderful building that will stand in Mexico.

Congrats Mexico
