U've seen my picture from Tg Mures - Sighisoara? U've seen those horses with cars? They're also active during the night. A friend of mine can't warn u anymore...unfortunately....

I rather prevere to drive during daytime. I have a wife and son, perhaps that's why.

And ofcourse. Do not understand me wrong. Those guys with horses and cars need an income as well. They could......put reflectors on the back of there cars and even lights. In the end it's the governement who is responsible for paving roads parallel next to E roads. Which they do not do.

My question to all. Is that not arranged by law (Brussels law) that next to a E road there should be a road parallel for slower traffic?? Already tnx!!

I understand that driving at night has its risks. I just got back from Tirgoviste, and i almost ran into some pedestrians who were on a crossing but the crossing was in the middle of a forest, outside any village and of course it was dark as hell. You have to be extra carefull at night, but it has its advantages too.

Pay for highways?

Bron: www.nederland.ro

Translation:

Users from the highways Bucharest-Constanta (A2) and Bucharest-Pitesti (A1) probably need to pay in the future.
The Romanian Ministry of Transport wants to source out the maintenance of these two highways.

"Autowegen"

It's "Autosnelwegen", "Autostrada" or "Motorway". An "Autoweg" translates as a "Motorroad", usually referring to one lane highways with grade-separated intersections.

I was complaining somewhere in my first posts, about the lack of big overhead signs on our roads. Well, yesterday i saw the biggest sign ever, on A1 at the exit to Craiova, Pitesti Sud. It is absolutely huge. Someone should post some pictures with it.

Commodore, thanks!

Big letters, but you can hardly read the number on the sign.

commodore, i was referring to the sign before the exit to Craiova. It is at around km 105 i guess, on the old segment of the motorway. But i guess they are about the same size. Maybe i was shocked to see it first, not used to such big signs aroud here

Route 14 Sighisoara - Sibiu

This is a local road. It looks boring, but is not. A important road from Sighisoara to Sibiu, but unfortunately I have missed markings and roadsigns. the quality of the asfalt is for Romanian standards okay. I only recomand you to drive during daytime.....in the night you just see nothing.

Note: sorry for the rain....
