I read it was completed and officially opened today (I mean the ring section). The overpasses crossing the ring, if you are talking about those, are not yet finished.

Well if none of the overpasses is fully finished, and (i drove on it last night) there are a few km around the Otopeni bridge not upgraded to 4 lanes and if markings are missing in some sections, how can they call it officially opened?

I haven't driven that section for a while. I thought they completed the Otopeni section? (I don't mean the bridge, cause it was impossible to complete it in such a short time)

Well they poured some asphalt between the new bridge and the finished section and they marked it with temporary yellow lines as 1+1. Still a lot to do around Otopeni. Also, i am not even mentioning ther is no bridge at Mogosoaia! (ok, i did mention it!)

You can call "centura" a by-ass too.

P.S.
Sibiu by-pass It is opened now, I can tell you from a good source (my window).

Yup, Sibiu bypass operational. Cool! Another 17,2 km of motorway operational.

So right now we have - REAL KM OF MOTORWAY opened for traffic:
1. A1 Bucharest-Pitesti 109 km
2. A2 Bucharest-Cernavoda 150 km
3. A3 Campia Turzii-Gilau 52 km
4. A1 Sibiu bypass 17,2 km
---------
Total: 328 and a bit km

Oh man, still a very long way to go...

This year the Gov has managed by and large to keep up with the deadlines promised. If next year will be like this one, we should see openings for the following:

Cernavoda-Medgidia - 20 km
Medgidia-Constanta - 32 km
A4 (Constanta by-pass) - 22 km
Timisoara-Arad - 32 km (???)

I'd say we can place a safe bet on A4 only. Otherwise, over 100 km opened next year is more of a dream.

What do you mean? A3 is the motorway linking Bucharest to Oradea, though Ploiesti, Brasov, Cluj, the part between Brasov and Oradea being called Transilvania Motorway. The signed sections are the Transilvania Motorway with Bechtel and Bucharest-Ploiesti.

I mean if this road number "A3" is signed on the signs along the motorway.

I ask this, because I'm wondering what to expect of A4, will it be near Constanta or the previous Targu Mures - Iasi route?
