Which company is building this bridge on Romanian side?
Is this part of any corridor and who is the sponsor?

Thanks

Yes, it is Vidin - Calafat bridge. The company that builds the bridge I know it's FCC (from Spain), and the bridge is part of Pan-European Corridor IV - southern branch. The main sponsor might be EU but I don't know this for sure.

^ For the Romanian side the contractor is the Spanish joint-venture Azvi / Vimac (Azvimac). But there are also some Romanian companies involved working under the Spaniards, mainly Apolodor.
And Le Clerk, those are definitely not the first pictures. I made pictures myself in an early stage of the works and so did most after awhile.

@ madad: read here, it's a reliable article (I wrote it ).

Well, it's not so strange. The thing is that Bulgaria (+EU) is paying for the bridge itself, so there is one contractor building the bridge and the adjoining infrastructure on the Bulgarian side, while there is another contractor (it was a different tender) only for the adjoining infrastructure on the Romanian side, which is paid by Romania (+EU).

I bet no one will bet against you.

As a matter of fact the bridge is financed by BG+EU+french bank for investment+german fond for Danube developement.

are the small pale green things next to the tall block of flats roofs of family houses and small blocks of flats?

I don't remember to have seen pics from that site before, and what's more, me and other people were complaining about lack of reports from there. Anyway, I am glad there is quite a good progress there.

PPP Law in Romania was amended

Good Morning Everybody, I am newly registered on that forum and I would like to have your valuable assistance.
As you may know the Romanian Law no 178/2010 concerning the Public Private Partnership (PPP Law) has been recently amended via the Emergency Governmental Ordinance no 39/2011, published in the Official Gazette no. 284/21.04.2011 ("EGO 39/2011"), is anybody know If I could find the published text of that amendment in English?
Please note that any assistance is welcomed.
Many Thanks in Advance!

Dimi

Please, see here an opinion on the amendments. There is no available official translation AFAIK.

You can also send me a private message if you want more info.

@nenea_hartia: Thank you as well. You are the only people taking pics on these motorway sites.

Timisoara-Arad motorway (32 km) needs to be completed by the end of this year.

Also, Medgidia-Constanta motorway (also 32 km) may be opened on half-profile by June-July to allow for the season traffic to the seaside.
