Am I the only one who feels that new Romanian motorways have much less exits compared to other parts of Europe? There seem to be 30-40 km or even more between two exits on A2 and A3.

I agree. The distance between Snagov and the DN1 exit is 36 kilometers, while there are sufficient villages nearby to provide an exit for.

That the DN3 exit on the A2 is only temporary seems bizarre.

A3 in between Bucharest and Ploiesti, on a 54 km distance, has 9 exits.
A2 in between Bucharest and Cernavoda has fewer exits (12 for 200 km) as the area is not that populated as the area north of Bucharest. But the average density/km is still lower than an exit at 30/40 km. Maybe one at less than 20 km.

There will be another exit for Bucharest airport in between the ring and Snagov which is not marked on the map, because it will be built subsequently.

I think Romania should build more exits, this improves the rural economy plus it makes the motorways more profitable because more people can use it. For instance, from the towns around Drăgăneşti, it will be some 30 - 35 kilometers to the nearest motorway exit, while they are actually only a few kilometers from the motorway itself.

Another issue in rural Romania appears to be the cuckoo DJ-road network, which doesn't make much sense, they run from village to village, but don't form a useful network. They are not well integrated.

Under "Health and Safety" legislation ,within the EEC,there should be a minimum distance between exits on all European motorways. If the Romanian government, ignores this, then they will be taken to court and fined heavily for breaking the law.I cant believe in 2011,a government would be dumb enough to ignore that.

No, no exits except for the city of Turda, of course.

Actually, this government is doing something.

By the way, Sibiu bypass has only 17 km, but 4 exits which is enough.

What's the status of the Nadlac - Arad motorway?

Are there any construction activities?

If I'm right the motorway should be finished in 2013.

After regulating the cabage production and sale, as well as milk and eggs quota, the last thing the EU should do is to regulate the distance between exists on motorways, oblivious of the conditions and needs in each country.
