Arad-Nadlac motorway is currently U/C with completion scheduled for first half 2013. Hungarians also plan to complete Nagylak-Mako in 2014 so by 2014 it's safe to assume that from Timisoara on there will be a complete motorway all the way to western Europe. Hopefully, there will be a complete motorway from Sibiu to Timisoara as well by 2014 (2013 being the official completion deadline for most sections), with certain small section which are yet to be tendered.

Of course some kind of bypass of Nadlac and Pecica would be useful, but it's not such a pain.
Indeed, the main road is very good, but a motorway between Arad and Nădlac (HU border) is under construction as we speak. The term of completion is 2013.

is Arad - Timisoara motorway going to be REALLY open for traffic on 15 of december? Or is it going to be just the official opening? I'm asking because i will drive from Oradea to Timisoara airport, and i want to know if i can use this option And if yes, where i will enter it? ( i mean from which part of Arad?)?

AFAIK, it will be open for traffic on 15 December, but don't know yet at what time of that day.
For sure you'll be able to enter it on the Arad South junction, if you'll be coming from Oradea through Arad center or the eastern by-pass.

Le Clerk,

one of your posts does not make any sense any more, which one ?

you - as a kind of sceptic guy here on this forum - present figures like 201 km in 2012, now Ministry of Transport is bidding 233 km for 2012. this is a 32 km difference. for me it looks like Ministry of Transport has just found in its budget the surplus of 192 mil euro (6 million euro x 32 km). this is well known procedure, public institutions are obliged to spend the whole budget for the specific year otherwise money is gone ...

anyway congratulations, if you have another three years like 2012 the mission of ministry of transport would be over.

I believe the difference could be caused by the fact that the ministry counts the Arad-Timisoara Motorway for the year 2012 instead of 2011, since by the end of this year it will only be opened for traffic but completed the next year. In this regard, the Arad by-pass was counted in 2012 from the beginning, although the impression is it will also be open for traffic by the end of this year (full or half, remains to be seen in the coming days).

Could anyone be so kind to show on a map where do we actually enter the motorway from ARAD? (coming from Oradea or not)

Dude, what's your point? What disinformation? I am not an official here to credit me or my opinions. Stop being ridiculous!

Second, read the article I posted again and see where you misread it.

Half profile, left side (from Arad towards Timişoara).

It's just an estimate made by the journalist based on the average price/km. It's not the ministry saying they'll deliver 233 km.

Well, I couldn't read the article, since it's restricted.

I do not expect you are an official representative of Romanian Authorities

now my point,
it is quite easy. think before you post your thoughts or forward improbable messages. people who are not aware of you can read your posts as they are.

you want me to present some examples ?
