The design of A3/A10 interchange near Turda has been changed. Here's what they are going to build:

Nothing wrong in the sense that it needed replacement... Well, actually the old bridge did need a complete refurbishment as it was discovered that it was dangerously close to collapsing , but the works on it are almost finished now.

The new Agigea bridge is part of the project to link the two parts of the Constanta port together, since the Danube-Black Sea canal separates them completely. Trucks travelling from the south part to the north part or to the hinterland had to use National road 39 and then the Agigea interchange on A4, which are all horribly overcrowded during summer. Thanks to this new bridge, trucks are now completely off the road and can enter the A4 at it's eastern end, which was made specifically for port traffic.

Also, the next stage of the port acces road project is building a small bypass around the southern port, from the bridge end near gate 10bis to the old port acces road DN39A (also that road is to be modernised). That way trucks can use multiple entrances to the port and car traffic can bypass Agigea, if old road become overcongested, or if any more contrcution works are needed.

Is there some sort of optical ilusio or are the lanes really that narrow? I've been through the Bicazului gorge before, but I wasn't driving so I didn't notice anything weird about the road... apart from it being in poor condition. I'm glad to see the road has been redone. Thanks for the video

Very nice videos, thank you!

I see you've ventured through Bucharest. Did you make any stops on the way or why did you choose taking the route through the city? You were very lucky, there was hadly any traffic . When did you make the trip? Also, what did you think about our capital?

PS: did you get lost at one point? Cause you made a wide detour until reaching the riverside road.

Yes, I got lost in București, because I couldn't find road signs about A2.
PS: I didn't stop in București because I didn't have time to visit monuments.

Rumors say that Orastie-Sibiu, lot 3, motorway will be opened next week. Here are some recent pictures with this motorway section:

pictures from mediafax.ro

This opening has nothing to do with the 2nd round of presidential elections that will be held next Sunday (1 week from now).

What is the name of that bridge? And what are the dimensions? (total length, main span, clearance, pylon height, etc?)

That bridge has
"no name, no face, no number"

Details:
Bridge across Danube - Black Sea Canal (south branch) at km 0+540
total length 360 m, from which 200 m is the main span
width = 17,4 m => 4 lanes
vertical clearance = 18,4 m
pylon height: 66 m above sea level

Some sections of A1 from Nadlac to Sibiu are not opened for traffic, because they are U/C.Are all sections which are not opened U/C or some of them are just planned for now?

^ All sections are more or less under construction. Some in a very advanced stage, some still waiting for the contractors to wake up and finally start their works.

Are there any reports or pics about the works on the Lugoj-Deva sections? I drove the DN68A in late September but - except one bridge construction, I think it was near the future Dobra interchange - I couldn't see any ongoing works. I can't believe that the sections should be completed in late 2015...

Hello everyone,

I read many romanian articles about the A1 highway, but my level of understanding romanian is not very good...

(According to this article, I understood that they are planning to finish this part about june 2015 : http://www.economica.net/autostrada-...ria_91165.html )

Is that correct? Are they planning to complete the highway with the hungarian part (M43) by june 2015? (I hope so...)
