Sorry just had to correct this. Mumbai is on the Arabian Sea not the Indian Ocean. In fact Perth's the only major city facing the Indian.

Um - I think you will find it is on the Indian Ocean. Seas are often part of the ocean. Just like Tasman and Coral Seas are part of the Pacific Ocean.

Durban has a sizable skyline spread across the entire inner city and beach area. Yes not all gleaming glass, but its there and over a much bigger area than Perths... this however is a nice simple looking tower

exactly. the magnificent skylines of the arab peninsula (united arab emirates, qatar, bahrain, etc) are also in the indian ocean area.

... and isn't the part of Perth that holds the skyline (the Perth part of Perth overlooking a bay instead of the ocean? Been there and I think the ocean was like 15/20 min by train or something.
