Brasil

Brasil

I welcome you to my new city Brasil(original name eh??)LOL. But anyways Brasil is a city i had a challenge with, like Solomon I didn't run wild and zone for highrises like crazy. Even though Brasil does have highrises, I went for the more sprawled American style city with big suburbs. I think i achieved that for the most part. The geography of Brasil, is that it has a lot of long rolling hills, a massive lake on the east side, accompanied with mountains on the east side too. To the southwest lies small islands, a big port, sheltered bay and creeks. In the mountains lies a canyon with a fast flowing river through it. In addition the southwest and mountains are still under construction as you see in the region view. The current population of the city of Brasil is around 800,000 Sims, but the whole region is 2.6 million Sims. Enjoy.

-So we welcome you to Brasil:

Promotional Icon:

Region view of the Region:

Brasil's downtown

- In downtown Brasil, not very big towers reside, mostly mid-rises and a few taller towers.

Midtown

A major hotel in downtown.

Brasil has very large transit system called metro link(BML). It can be summed up by; subway, e-rail, and ground rail, all into one. This often called Link-Light-Rail. Where all three rail components of transit combine. And this is what Brasil has. Lines run all around Metro Brasil.

A large Subway Center near the Capitol Building.

A large pavilion near the Capitol

Capitol Park boasts a large observation tower, and a lot of greenspace for the Brasil Sims to play in.

In the city of Brasil, there is a very small exclusive cargo port for the lead businesses of Brasil so they don't have to travel 10 miles south to the main port.

A large steel bridge built over the Gerustran River in 1931 still stands.

Brasil also has a football stadium.

Brasil has High-Speed Rail running on it's eastside.

A picture of what the eastside is like

A fishing port on a nearby island, which is a major tourist attraction

A small tropical island

You can go back to mainland Brasil, by using ferry!!!

The Center Square on the Island

A three century old house in the mountains of Brasil

My last image is of a remote hospital in the south of the region.

Comments are welcomed and wanted.
-I have much more things to come with this city. Updates should come soon.

Major Update

Today, I will show you another island off of mainland Brasil. It is called Queens Island. I consider this island to be some of my best works. A lot of effort was put into this so I would love some feedback.
-Get ready for a bunch of pics

Region View:

The Fishing Village

Queens Island has been inhabited for 2 centuries, and the oldest building still stands in the middle of the town.

City Center

Modern Supermarkets and Restaurants by the city center

Tennis courts and parks

Casual Dinning on the Sea

This Island is occupied mostly by the rich and the poor. There is barely a middle-class.

Homes and Vacation Homes

A big hotel is on one of the island's beautiful beaches.

Now I will share with you another fishing village on the island

Overview:

MORE:

To Travel back to mainland Brasil you can take the ferry back to Brasil's main Port.

The Ferry Dock:

This concludes my insanely large update.

-Comments, suggestions, constructive criticism, are welcomed and wanted.

-So what do you guys think??????

I have some terrible news. I was uploading a new region on SC4 and the process was taking to long so I shut my computer off, but when I went back on SC4 a new blank region replaced Brasil. :soob: :soob: I couldn't find the missing region/city files anywhere. So I do have more pictures of Brasil that i will post, which means 2-3 more updates. Sadly i was really hoping to develop this city to it's fullest, but now i can't since it's gone.

Small Update

Today I'll show you more of the eastside of Brasil and it's planned developments. Low Wealth housing grew scarce over the years in Brasil so the poor and lower middle class were almost forced onto the eastside by high prices and inflation. So a lot of low wealth planned communities exist like this one:

More planned communities. (you can see the contrast between HSR, the older low wealth housing and the new low wealth housing.)

Into the southeast there are less development, but more demand. The southeast is basically a wasteland open for growth. With great infrastructure more planned communities are rising and the area is growing.

Planned community:

Construction site next to a busy highway

a large planned community in the south of the region. (modeled after the ones in Florida.)

More of the eastside:

Hope you like the eastside and suburbs. More suburb pics to come too!!!!

-Comments wanted and welcomed.

^Yea I will post all of the ones you asked.

-For regular reefs made by Goldiva go here

-For palm trees and other tropical floral made by Goldiva go here

-For various rocks, and other floral go here(That pack is great for helping bring your water/beaches to life)

-To find the fishing village/huts/boats, you have to go to this ite here. Download all fishing port expansion packs and etc. Also download all the dependency it asks for or it will not work.

-To create more fishing village like slum areas go here

-For underwater flora, plants seaweed go here. You have to become a member here. Then afterwards downloads the water floral and cloud modd.

-I hope this helps.

-Just ask if you have any others you would like to know about.

This thread is amazing! You spent a ton of time on it too. I like all the information and detail you've put in the city. It's certainly huge.
I love how downtown looks, and I like how none of the buldings are exaggeratedly tall. Also Queens Island is very cool. Keep up the super good work there.

It is a very nice theme park, and it's BIG! I bet the people love it! How great and nicely designed along with the whole region so far.
I can see your going to great lengths to make this region great, and it certainly shows.
Keep up the super work.
