The Duke City - Downtown Albuquerque, New Mexico

City Population - 504,949
Metro Population - 816,811

Albuquerque is a great place to shoot because the city is full of old Spanish architecture. The city has done a wonderful job of taking that old style and modernizing it, as you will see with the city's civic buildings. On this visit I focused more downtown, but I plan to hit the city's historic center, Old Town, on my next visit.

Albuquerque is a fast growing city that is experiencing growing pains. Traffic is awful there, mostly because of the growth on the West Side and in the city of Rio Rancho, one of the fastest growing cities in the country.

Anyway, here are my photos. Enjoy.

And your photographer...

Thanks for looking!

Pleasant city! New Mexico is one of the states I want to visit the most in the U.S. right now. The natural beauty there is spectacular, I think I like it more than other Rocky Mountain states because you have desert and canyons too.

By the way, You are an amazing photographer! You should become more active on these forums

Nice pictures. I was under the impression that the world was kind fo passing Albuquerque behind, but streetscape pictures seem to say otherwise.

You should also make a thread and post these pictures in the West Coast U.S. section. There is a sizeable Albuquerque population, but none of them ever take pictures and make photo threads. I'm sure they will appreciate you pictures.
