Kronprinzengärten is located right in the (eastern) city centre, very close to Unter den Linden.

Werden die jetzt auch mal endlich gebaut? Man wollte doch schon vor Jahren mit der Falkoniergasse anfangen.

Since the Deutschlandhalle is slated for demolition soon and the future of the International Congress Centre is uncertain because of its asbestos contamination, is it time that the Messe Berlin exhibition complex received a reboot or should an all-new exhibiiton complex be built for Berlin replacing the existing complex?

Very nice. A bit of classicism, but very high quality blocks.

They are not überexpensive and land over which they are being built was relatively cheap.

Moreover, there is a demand for high-paid people in Berlin for new and modern flats.

Well the cities' debts are not the people's debts (at least not directly).

Why should debts of a city prevent an investor from building something, if there are customers to pay for it?

the main problem was the banking scandal in 2001. unfortunately i´ve found only something in german...but this was one major reason of the berlin financial crisis!
