There is still a chance that the platforms for M4 at Ny Ellebjerg will be underground.

The current proposal is to build the platform on ground level but on the wrong side of the tracks compared to the other platforms.

A long pedestrian tunnel will created longer transfer times and will make future extensions on M4 harder to do.

A underground platform between the Ring line and long distance platforms will cost around 650 million kroner more and the government has offered some land for development around the station for free that are valued at around 250 million kroners.

Frederiksberg who wants the extension to heading their way says its the greatest idea.

Copenhagen who are funding most of the line (the state has given up their shares in the citys development company to fund this) is very skeptical because they want Frederiksberg to to fund more of it and they do not agree that the property is 250 million worth.

So while the right wing parties at the city council in Frederiksberg and in the government think its the greatest idea, then the left wing parties who are ruling Copenhagen think its a bad idea.

So all in all I hope they make a deal and spend those 650 million to tunneling the last few 5-600 meters or so and build that underground station.

Enghave Plads was the first station to get escalators installed, that happened by the end of April, but hey better late than never.

Metroselskabet has also been up in the air and have posted these aerial photo´s.

First up is Nordhavn and Orientkaj on the Nordhavn branch of M4.

And in the other end of Copenhagen the CMC and division chamber for the Sydhavn branch of M4.

And now onto the circle inself.

We are taking the trip clockwise from the central station.

København H (M3 and M4), Copenhagens central station with trains for the airport, Sweden, Germany and the rest of the country.
Its also one of the major stations on the S-train network, the other being Nørreport.

This is also the terminus of M4 until the Sydhavn branch opens in 2022, the train will however not reverse here but at the CMC.

Under Sønder Boulevard is the division chamber for the branch out to the CMC and the Sydhavn Branch.

Only trains to and from the central station can use this division chamber.

Enghave Plads (M3) serves the very vibrant Vesterbro district, close to this station is the concert venue Vega and the Carlsbergbyen district is nearby.

Frederiksberg Allé (M3) is the first of only 3 station is in Frederiksberg.

Frederiksberg (M3, M1 and M2) is a interchange station with M1 and M2, also nearby is the big mall Frederiksbergcenteret and the conference center and hotel at Falconercenteret.

Aksel Møllers Have (M3) is the last station in Frederiksberg.

Nuuks Plads (M3) is located in the Nørrebro district of Copenhagen.

Nørrebro´s Runddel (M3) is located on a major intersection in Nørrebro where many bus lines meets up.

Nørrebroparken is besides being a huge construction site also one of Nørrebro´s green lungs.

One of surprisingly few track switches is also going to be constructed here

4 TBM´s has been launched from here and its here that Minerva and Eva gets all the construction meterials they needs and all the dirt is being moved away from here.

Nørrebro (M3) is located next to Nørrebro station served by S-train Line F so its going to be a semi large interchange station.
M4 will terminate here for 6 months time before the Nordhavn branch opens in December 2019.

Skjolds Plads (M3) is located in Ydre Nørrebro (Outer Nørrebro) and is the last of the 4 Nørrebro stations.

Moving onto Østerbro and Vibenshus Runddel (M3) in Ydre Østerbro, The station is located in the northern part of the Fælledparken public park, Rigshospitalet and Parken Stadium is located very close.

Poul Henningsens Plads (M3) is located in Østerbro proper near the main street Østerbrogade.

Trianglen (M3) is located in Fælledparkens southern end, like Vibenshus Runddel its also very close to Rigshospitalet but is located much closer to Parken Stadium and the morecentral area of Fælledparken.
Trianglen is also located just next to Østerbrogade.

Øster Søgade is both a construction site but also the division chamber for the Nordhavn branch.
Tria and Nora was launched from here towards the central station and in the next 3-12 month it will receive Alice and Frida from Nordhavn and Minerva and Eva from Nørrebro.

Østerport (M3 and M4) is the northern main station of Copenhagen, as the main train depot is located a little bit further up the line all trains departing out of the central station will also make a stop at Østerport.
This means that Østerport has the same connections at the central station.

Marmorkirken (M3 and M4) is located just next to Marmorkirken (the Marble Church) and Amalienborg Palace.
Because the construction site is so narrow they will build the 2 platforms on top of each other.
The lower platform is located 30 meters underground, normally they are "only" between 15 and 20 meters underground.

Kongens Nytorv (M3 and M4) is together with Rådhuspladsen the 2 main squares of Copenhagen.
Here there will be a interchange station with the M1 and M2 lines at the existing platform connected by an underground transfer tunnel.
Nyhavn and the expensive end of the Strøget shopping street is other places of interest in this area.

Gammel Strand (M3 and M4) is next to Christiansborg (the Danish parliament), Strøget, Holmens Kirke and other tourist attractions.

Rådhuspladsen (M3 and M4) at the cheap end of Strøget and Tivoli.

And that completes that tour.

Tria reached Marmorkirken today.

We have a busy week ahead, Minerva should have departed Vibenshus Runddel tomorrow but is delayed until the 3rd of June.

Alice should also have departed Nordhavn in mid May so I´m guessing that she will start drilling in a not so long time.

Just a few updates from myself from Copenhagen. This is the last set of videos (I believe) that I took in Copenhagen.

Just a little showcase of the Metro at Frederiksberg. This metro station will undergo some changes as the M3 ring line will also call at this station in the future, making it very well connected indeed to the rest of the city.

Next up - a tour of Vanløse station. This station is the terminus for the metro (M1 and M2) in the north, as well as a stop on the S-tog service (C and H).

Now I have two "ride" videos - the first is a rather shaky ride on the 5A from the Central Station to Amager Bro (sorry, the bus had interesting suspension).

Final video from Denmark sadly is the journey on the S-tog all the way from Vanløse to Copenhagen Central Station on the C train.

Copenhagen buses do have quite firm suspension, and they drive really close to the curb which means they go over all the drains... Can't wait to get trams!

Haha S-tøg, maybe we should call it that :-)

btw if you don´t get the joke its called a S-tog as in S-train.

btw Alice has left Nordhavn station and Eva has reached Vibenshus Runddel.

I will most likely post the new progress map tomorrow as Minerva is expected to depart from Vibenshus Runddel tomorrow so it would be pointless to post it today if its already outdated tomorrow.

Bahaha sorry! Will correct that when I finally get home! I was just trying to Danskafy it from tåg.

Danish was a lot of fun for me though. I had a real headscratching moment when I was searching for some water "utan kolsyra" and I had great fun trying to work out what the heck it could be...

No no please keep it on, I just thought it was a mistake.

Water without "kulsyre"is just vand or postevand (from the tap) , with kulsyre it would be Danskvand.

Down in Aksel Møllers Have, notice the cladding that they are testing.

Minerva has finally departed from Vibenshus Runddel on her way to Poul Henningsens Plads.

So status for now is...

Minerva on her way towards Poul Henningsens Plads.

Eva is at Vibenshus Runddel.

Alice is moving ahead with her trip from Nordhavn to Øster Søgade.

Frida is actually Alice but with another drilling head, so there will be no action from her until Alice has arrived at Øster Søgade and transported back to Nordhavn.

Nora is drilling her way from Marmorkirken to Kongens Nytorv, its the shortest distance between 2 stations on the network (around 600 meters) so she is expected at Kongens Nytorv in a very short time, most likely by the end of this month.

Tria is currently resting at Marmorkirken at the upper platform, I'm not totally sure but since Nora's breakthrough was at the lowest level so I'm guessing that it's the upper level.

The progress map will be posted tomorrow.
