Thanks for the update, Anders. I suspected as much: I was in Copenhagen last week and visited Kongens Nytorv. The cranes had shifted from carrying materials out of the underground construction site to carrying tubs of liquid cement down under, so I figured they had finished with the TBMs and were now constructing the actual station.

It's still work at a snail's pace, though. On Sundays, in the evening, no activity. I stayed next to a metro construction site in Beijing a few months ago and... shall we say, things moved a bit quicker.

The maintenance work on the Køge Bugt line between Hundige and Køge is 2 weeks delayed, it should have opened for regular traffic this Monday but it looked like this just south of Køge Nord station today.

They have installed the new tracks but still lacks the ballast.

There is a huge construction activity at Køge station during the construction of the new bridge.

If you want to see how the finished product will look like then go to Kogekyst.dk

September has started. And so have Nora and Tria, who are now both on their way toward Gammel Strand.

Not that long now til all the tunnels are done.
How long will it take from when all the tunnels are dug til the line can open?

And for some odd reason the line out to Orientkaj will open in December in the same year.

Minerva is on her way towards Trianglen, and from there its only a short trip to her final destination at Øster Søgade.

At the other end Nora has reached Gammel Strand and Tria has left Kongens Nytorv on her way to Gammel Strand.

The undoubtably most complicated section of the Copenhagen Ring metro, between Kongens Nytorv and Gammel Strand, has been successfully completed.

The TBMs had to pass over the existing metro with just 1.2m clearance, to then dive under the basement of the major department store, Magasin du Nord. with only 3,6m to spare. The slope of 6% is the steepest part of the whole metro system.

The Danish Engineering magazine today posted some photos from the work in and around the TBMs. The text is in Danish, but anyone can of course have a look at the pictures:
