And today Alice arrived at the division chamber at Øster Søgade.


The drilling head will be dismounted and the rest of the machine will be pulled back through the new tunnel and be reassembled at Nordhavn and get a new drilling head.
When this is done she will then be Frida.

How come the space between the outer and the inner tubes is so small? There is no space for platforms.

This is not the place for a station,
but for a "division chamber", Øster Søgade, where two branches divide,
one to the north (to Nordhavn station), the other west bound on the loop.
See the map, in Bongo Anders post, just above your post.

Great map! When the whole construction is done the TBM maps and the track-laying map should be combined into a single animated map that shows how it all progressed

Nora is on her way from Gammel Strand towards Rådhuspladsen (City Hall Square) and Eva is finally on her way from Poul Henningsens Plads to Trianglen.

The progress map is for now only updated with Nora´s next stage so I will post it when Eva´s is updated.

The map has been updated with Eva´s departure from Poul Henningsens Plads but is a little hard to see if you are colorblind like me







Copenhagen and Frederiksberg municipality and the Danish state has found the money to build a underground station at Ny Ellebjerg.

This new platform will reduce transfer time between the metro and S-train and long distance trains but also futureproof further extentions to Hvidovre and Frederiksberg.

Each municipality will pay 150 million kroner each and the state will give up some plot of land around the station worth 120 millions.

The last of the money up to 650 millions will be payed by the more users the underground platform will gain.

The old platform would have used a transfer tunnel under the tracks but transfer time would have been around 5 minutes.


The old location was were the warehouses is on this picture

The new location is in the upper left on the picture were the platforms for the S-train ring line is located, the current ring line platform will be moved closer to the buildings with the red brick.

Here is a proposed layout of Ny Ellebjerg were they haven´t relocated the S-train ringline platform.


The platforms are from the bottom and up.

2 platforms for the metro
2 platform for the S-train line F (aka ringbanen)
2 platforms for Copenhagen to Ringsted via Køge Nord (the new high speed line under construction.
2 platforms for the trains from the airport/Sweden towards Roskilde

And the 2 platforms on the bridge are for the Køge Bugt Banen on the Strain line with Line E Køge - Holte and line A Solrød Strand/Hundige - Hillerød.

Tria has left Gammel Strand and is heading towards Rådhuspladsen.


So now all the 4 original machines are up and running again.

Frida should be launched from Nordhavn station by the end of the year and complete the last tunnel on the Nordhavnslinien about 4 months after she starts.

Aksel Møllers Have on Frederiksberg is the first "finished" station on the circle line.

The TBM Frida about to start it's journey on the second tunnel from Nordhavn station to the junction with the City Ring line at Øster Søgade.
The rear part of the train is the same that bored the first tunnel.

And Frida started 2 days ago and is expected to be at Øster Søgade in March next year, when done it will complete the Nordhavns tunnel and most likely also all the tunneling works until the Sydhavnslinien starts drilling in 2019.

Minerva and Nora should reach Trianglen and Rådhuspladsen later today so thats also a big milestone, after this they have a very short trip to their end destinations.

Minerva reached Trianglen so its time for an updated map.

Also new on this map is Nora´s arrival at Rådhuspladsen and Frida´s departure from Nordhavn.
