This building is amazing, looking at it is surreal, its a true classic that needs to stay around forever.
Here is a timeline of the structure.   image hosted on flickr   Here is around when it surpasses the Chrysler building as the worlds tallest.  Still growing.  Done.  Antenna added.  On September 11, 2001.  Still standing today. |

Great shots but the second one is of the University of Pittsburgh Cathedral of Learning, not the ESB...and do we really need that 9-11 pic?

 It's part of the history. It's amazing, however, how the ESB has remained such an iconic building, so much so it seems kinda new in this age of steel and glass... it commands such a presence that you're lead to think that the architects of old could not conceive such a powerful structure.

Still is the greatest skyscraper ever! And the good thing is the building's infrastructure is retro-fitted for the future especially the green building concept.

Great pics. I went up the building in 1999 and 2002. A mate did and he got vertigo and froze when he got to the observation deck.
