Beautiful. For some reason when I first saw this thread, I thought it was for the Ohio city...

Only Italy and perhaps France can compete with Spain when it comes to the historical architecture. No doubt about that.

I assume these are self taken pictures, so will move this to Urban Showcase. If this is not the case, then credit the photos and I will move it back.

I've visited Toledo many times . I especially used to like drving from that road of Torrijos . When you catch eyesite of Toledo it looks absolutely majestic from that road . They should move the incredible cathedral to Madrid .

I still remember the many artisans on the main street making swords and knives and the main plaza de Zocodover . And the few shops down in the more modern part of Toledo . The only thing i don't like about Toledo is that it is still full of paletos . One of the rudest people i have encountered in Spain . Otherwise historically Toledo is one of Europes greatest historic cities . Although it is not as big and grand as one of my fav cities in the world . Salamanca . To be honest i even prefer Avila . Those walls in Avila have to be seen to be believed . For walls that are over one thousand years old they almost look brand new . Breathtaking .

In fact Madrid must vie to be the European city surrounded with the most historically awesome and beautiful cities in Europe .
