Great! Do you have a map of this highway by any chance? I'm not quite clear on its route.

Nice to see good roads in (semi) arid places. They are usually crappy.

this road starts at Bar Ilan Interchange on highway 4 (Gea Road) and goes east when Petah Tikva is on one side and Kiryat Uno on the other side.
the road ends in a junction with road 40.
the plan is to continue the road east and to conect it with road 6 in Nachshonim interchange.

find the road in this map. the road number is 471 (south to Petah Tikva and north to Kiryat Uno)

Highway 431 U/C

The Ein Hakore Interchange between Highway 431 and Highway 42 is under construction. The pictures are from about a month ago.

Here is a map of the project vicinity:

Originally, the interchange was supposed to look like this:

However, according to a poster in the Israeli forum, and also judging from the construction photos, the structure has been changed slightly, and now instead of 2 above-ground levels using bridges, it will include one underground level using tunnels, and 1 above-ground level using bridges.
Here are the construction pictures:

This is the control centre, also U/C:

Is America building these highways for u, or is Israel managing it all by it self?

Why would America build our highways?

You can see details of the road, and who's building it and paying for it, here:

Don't let the US build them for you, 'cause then they wouldn't be this smooth and nice!

Some more pics I took recently.

This is the horrible rush hour traffic on Tel Aviv's Ayalon freeway, taken from Platform 3 of Tel Aviv Central railway station:

Driving under Gannot interchange just before Tel Aviv:

The view from the roof of the building where I work. Road 2 and the Sira Interchange:

If it was managed by the palestinians, they would've built 16 lane highways, lots of railroads and great airports already... like all other countries in the middle east.

A new southern section (section 19) of the toll Highway 6 (Cross-Israel Highway) has recently been opened to traffic. The length of this new section is 23km. Additional 60km are planned for the future. Unfortunately, I couldn't find many photos of the new section:

Even though this is a toll road (the only toll road in Israel), this new section will currently be free of charge, at least until the rest of the road is finished. This part of the road is important, because it will bypass an older and more dangerous road.
