looks like this question comes up on every page of this thread..

basically its the place where the shoppingmall formerly known as urban entertainment center, later regional entertainment center shall be under construction "soon"..

take a look on this map by bmxican

A: UEC office tower (212m, app.)
B: UEC grand-hyatt hotel tower (150-165m, app., hopefully starting 09/10)
C: probably place for the UEC conference-center
D: site of the future millennium tower (360-389m, app.)
E: site of T185 (u/c)
F: location of messeturm
G: location of the castor & pollux towers
H: location of recently completed mövenpick hotel
I: the future Europaviertel (u/c)
J: euro-park residential complex (u/c) and site of future güterplatz-tower (165m, app.)

Nice progress...I'm looking forward to the summer, when I'll be probably in Frankfurt again, so I hope there will already be considerable progress until then (i assume around 5 floors) .
Looking at the plan that derUlukai posted, it surprises me how close the MT is supposed to be to T185...though it's unlikely that MT will ever get built , but there's always some hope, though with the financial crisis now it's as likely as that SPd will win the next election in Germany .
BTW, what I wondered is if they're gonna change the name , since it's not 185m anymore, shouldn't it be Tower 204m now?

You can already see the outline of this tower in the rebar.

As far as the Masterplan says, it will have 211m!

the height increase is bigger than expected. there is no noticable difference between 204m and 211m, but this will place the tower above the westend tower in the height ranking - atleast until the ecb tower is completed (220m with spires).

time for a name change to FRANKFURT | Tower 185 | 211m | 55 fl | U/C

the souce is the official vivico masterplan released in march 2009. Iīm sure someone here can post it.

(btw...the height of tower 1 is given as 212m - before that it was always 195m, the height of the millennium tower is now 365m and the tower is now called tower 365)

I have posted the Masterplan in the T365 (former Millennium Tower) thread and I think I put it into the Skyline Plaza thread also, but I am not sure.
Anyway the Masterplan is NOT reliable source since it is modified frequently! The only thiong I rely on are the positions of the towers plus the names of the buidlings and fullstop! Sorry but I am a bit skeptic even about the fact that T185 shall top the 185m (or 200m). I will only believe it when it is in the statistics AFTER the completion!
But until then it is ok for me...

I wonder how much did it cost them to buy and demolish the whole plot between Pollux and Hohenstaufenstr.? There were a lot o buildings there, but can't remember if that were flats or offices. There was also samething like ball-room for weddings?

I have counted the floors of the old model - it were 47 storeys. However I haven't found the new model's renderings for comparison! Maybe in the German section...

come on guys, there was never any official news that the tower will be 205m, this number was only a guessing by members from DAF or DHF.

until we get an official statement we should leave the tower at 200m+. who cares anyway, if itīs 204, 205 or 211...itīs not like itīs a big difference.

There is not much difference between 204 and 211, I agree. But 185m and 211m IS a difference! But can anyone here confirm that there are only 47 storeys. I cannot count 50. But okay, such plans and renders are not 100% reliable anyway!
