without doubt one of the best new scrapers anywhere - contemporary while complementing the old buildings nearby, not trying to make an architect ego-statement like happens in so many places these days.

Not exactly 100% accurate. I'll tell you what I did. The first seven floors are 120 pixels high. So one floor is 120/7. Since it's 50 floors with the five floors on top, I first multiplied the 120/7 by 45 to get the height of the main structure and drew the red lines upward accordingly. Then I added the remaining five floors of the cylindrical structure on top. Should be relatively correct.

the yellow church might be demolished though - for a new tower. the other version is to use the church as the entrance to a new tower in the backside.

This little yellow church doesn't look right there, so a new tower would definitely be a good idea.
And since Frankfurt is not a historic city it wouldn't be a shame to demolish the church in my opinion.
