Great to see it almost finished, thanks for contributing!

I think we can throw it in the upcoming London vs. Frankfurt skyscrapers contest now.

Great night view, could be taken from Westendstraße 1.

As for Tower 185, the last crane has disappeared (compare Mövenpick webcam).

This tower looks so old... like it was built in the 80s.

Yes, its certainly the worst new tower of the last 15 years or so. A full glass facade would have looked much nicer.

Frankfurt - Tower 185 von srmurphy auf Flickr

at night it's really beautiful, but during the day you could be right that a glass facade would have looked better, maybe a dark one

Saw it in person for the first time a couple of days ago and it does look rather dated. Definitely not as classy as the Opernturm.

But I have to admit that I dont like this browncolored aluminum cladding. So escpecially from some angles the T185 looks not so GREAT like it does from the front

Haha, well thats peoples different opinions. I'm personally not a huge fan of pure glass structures and the shard does not impress me in terms of height or architecture either. Maybe it's because my office is just next to it and I see it everyday, but I think thats not the case since I pass Tower42 every day too and can't stop looking. I'm a fan of architecture from the 60-80's, having said that I think Tower185 does look classy due to the glass cladding at the front of the tower.
