530 Lakeside is the old Sam Snead's space, right?

Yep - 530 Lakeside is old Sam Sneads. And they did a slight remodel inside. It looks good in there!

D/S Design Solutions opened up a showroom on Robinson St. They're the ones that have the showroom right by the railroad tracks on Colonial & Garland. Only this one is just home furniture. It looks really cool and they've got some really nice stuff in there. Also it's nice to have SOMETHING on Robinson St other than Java Lava & Metro Fitness.

Virgin Olive Market is a cool new café that opened right next to Citrus on north Orange. They have health food, vegetarian, and vegan foods.

Dixie's Cafe opened on Orange between Livingston & Robinson next to Empire Szechuan. It used to be called Prunera's, and people say it's gotten quite a facelift since then.

Graffiti Junktion opened on East Washington St in Thornton Park. it is easily one of the coolest and most interesting restaurants that have come to downtown in a long time.

Brian Adams Photography (not the singer, the singer is with a "y") opened up on Osceola St. next to the Post Parkside garage.

Sadly, the Central Ave food court closed down. I'm not sure when it happened, but they still have paper snowflakes on the windows so it must have been around December. Now the building is just an ugly, empty shell.

E-Sciences interior design studio opened at Court Ave & Pine St next to the Solaire. The inside looks really cool, too.

Fifi's renamed itself the Sanctuary Diner. It looks way cooler and a lot nicer than Fifi's. I think they'll probably get more straight guys to eat there now that it's not called Fifi's, haha.

And at the Plaza, they finally put up a sign saying "Plaza Cinema Café coming soon". So the café I'm sure is not far off, but there is no sign saying when the actual Cinema will open :-(

I've passed by many of these places and they are all great, bringing new life to downtown; hopefully they can make it through this economy.

BTW I have a friend that models and she has one of her photos painted on one of the walls...

oh and from what I heard the movie theatre should be opening at the end of this month!!! yay!!!
