I'll get in touch with my co-social director (aka Happy) and set something up.

Welcome, SanJosian!

PS. Santos married already? Hopefully not honeymooning in Cancun!

When the beer party is approaching, you will be given a secret password and information on a meeting place and time, then the initiation can begin. It's kinda like the Free Masons for skyscraper fanatics.

I'm most curious to see what they will be using on Tower 88 for the walls for the exterior of the pedestal. Will they be using granite, marble, concrete, stucco, or some other material for those walls?

Here's a great picture of SJC Terminal B construction from the front page of today's Murky News.

Hi guys, I'm back!!! Had an amazing time in Bora Bora. Looks like I missed out on a lot of good posts (and owe everyone lot's of beers lol). The wedding ended up being postponed due to multiple family illnesses that happened at the last minute :/. But we did make good use out of our honeymoon at least!

Anyways, it's good to be back. Can't wait to go look at Tower 88, amazing what has been done in the past 2 weeks.

I hope we get rid of those ghetto tents at the bus stops at the airport. The terminal looks like it's coming along very nicely. I hope we put up some nice new shelters for the buses.

Welcome back, Josh!

I accidentally posted this to the Greater Silly Valley thread. However, I just realized that this is a North San Jose development, and not a Santa Clara development, like I had originally thought. Anyway, the America Center will be a 700,000+ square R&D campus, developed by Legacy Partners. It will consist of four 5-story buildings. What makes these buildings interesting is that they overlook the bay. Nearby amenities include waterfront jogging and bike trails as well as a planned 175 room hotel. Hopefully, there will be more waterfront developments in the near future. I'd really like there to be a San Jose waterfront business/commercial district (i.e., Foster City, Jack London Square, South SF) someday - complete with a bustling marina.

This project is located in Alviso, immediately off of the freeway and isn't located next to any housing, pre-existing developments, or mass transit. As such, I wouldn't expect it to be very pedestrian-oriented.

why not just stack 'em into a 20-story tower? maybe a five story parking podium? wouldn't that save money on land? i guess land's got to get more expensive before they start wasting it? i mean, 2,500 parking spots is an awful lot of land, millions of dollars worth.
