Well look at the traffic, developement? It needs to be a dual carriageway! SPB:s around's road network is in general very crappy.

The Moscow Ring Road (MKAD) has underwent and is currently undergoing several construction projects. After being built as a 4 lane city bypass in the 60's, it was reconstructed in the 90's into a 10 lane expressway.

Isn't the A107 a viable bypass outside Moscow?

Yes, that's what it's used for nowadays. In the coming years it will be rebuilt into a toll motorway bypassing Moscow called the TsKAD (ЦКАД)

Good plan. I hope they will straighten out the discontinuities along the A100, A104, and M10 and bypass towns such as Bronnitsy and Zvenigorod.

After that, perhaps similar improvements for the A108.

I notice that Russia is building a lot of new highways/motorways since a while. By the way, how much money do they invest in them annually?

MKAD's problem is that only the overpass is expressway, the rest of the road that is connected to the ring is Africa-level. All Moscow's radial main roads should be converted into proper motorways like NOW! MKAD is not a proper motorway neither... SPB is doing well.

Kerch bridge construction

300km motorway construction Kerch-Sevastopol should start spring this year.
A lot of investments should go into service infrastructure, to make it more attractive for tourists.

Do you know where will they take the money from if the Kerch bridge costs 46 bln rubles (est at 72 RUR/$, 640$ mln)? . Now it is 79 RUR/$(factual). Even if it cost $11.5 mln/km(and it'll cost more), We get an astonishing(!) 5.1$ bln. It will be I guess at $6.5 bln. How come they will pick up the money and spend it? They haven't got so much money resources. And, seeing the photos, it will be $8 bln. It won't be feasible till Russia comes out from the oil crisis for sure. And, after all, these are just words to attract the electorate, as with the casino zone.

Don't exaggerate. It's not that much for a country the size of Russia.
Sure it is not cheap but ff there is political will (and there clearly is) then the things get done.

For Russia it is strategic project so money is not particularly important.
