I doubt if this is considered a motorway by Russian standards, probably a dual carriageway, there are many of them in Russia. Similar to Ukrainian M5 or Estonian E20.

M7 motorway. One of main routes, but it's bordering the city, dividing city and nearest suburbia. Therefore, of course, have some pedestrian traffic crossing it. There are some overground pedestrian bridges over it, so as some pedestrian ways crossing the motorway as there is no large traffic, like on MKAD. But you can find idiots everywhere. It's a city of just 320 thous population. Once, between 1169 and 1328 it was the capital of Rus.

Average speed like anywhere on such motorways in Russia is 110-140 kmph. Speed limit is 100 kmph i suppose.

The only truly secure system is one that is powered off, cast in a block of concrete and sealed in a lead-lined room with armed guards - and even then I have my doubts. Gene Spafford.
I am Basque, not Russian, the "Siberia" thing is a joke.

Russia to Tax Drivers to Fund National Road Program

Quote:
July 27 (Bloomberg) -- Russia will set up a federal fund to upgrade the country’s roads by increasing taxes on drivers, Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin said.

The 2011 budget will set aside 377 billion rubles ($12.5 billion) for road construction and maintenance, with the allotment rising to 408 billion rubles two years later, Kudrin told reporters in Moscow today. The main sources of funding will come from additional gasoline and vehicle taxes, he said.

“Road construction remains Russia’s most pressing problem,” Kudrin said. He said an annual tax hike of 1 ruble per liter of gasoline over three years won’t fuel inflation.

Russia, the world’s largest country by area, still doesn’t have a complete east-west highway, and roads often turn into rutted tracks outside urban centers. The state monopolizes road building, causing construction costs to be 28 percent higher in Russia than in the U.S., business lobby Delovaya Rossiya and the VTsIOM polling center found in a joint study two years ago.

By 2015, 45,000 kilometers (28,000 miles) of the country’s 54,000 kilometers of federal highways will be brought into a “normative condition,” and 14,000 kilometers of new roads will be built, Transportation Minister Igor Levitin said today.

All villages with a population over 125 will get hard- surface roads starting next year, according to Levitin.

Russia will meet a “strategic” goal of connecting Moscow to Vladivostok on the Pacific Ocean this year via a “safe, normal” highway, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said in April. The two cities have been connected by a 9,300-kilometer long rail link for almost a century.

Sorry to hear about all the wildfires in Russia. Are they also affecting infrastructure; roads, railways and so on?

it's not. it's just a small wild forest 4x3 km with a luxury village inside of it. originally it was supposed to be knocked down entirely and redeveloped with a large municipal housing district. but those plans was canceled. it will remain as a park in the city, but a very small part of - right on an eastern side, very close to the edge of the forest will be used for motorway. so those are not ecologist, those are most probably some paid politicians.

New M5 interchange south of Ufa, that connects with the 2x2 highway to the airport.

location @ Gmaps

My Russian is not really good but I think he says "completed interchange of southern motorroad bypass (road M5 Moscow - Samara - Ufa - Chelyabinsk) and auto-road Ufa - Airport."

"Закончили" would transliterate as "Zakonchili" which sounds similar to the Polish word "zakończony" which means completed.

год (god) means "year".
