Her Background is Moroccan Jew that's why her name is not arabic. "Attias" is a Moroccan Jewish family name. it's true she doesn't represent Morocco since she doesn't speak Moroccan & so on! But she has hot Moroccan genes inherited

When she was in Star Academy she didn't have Moroccan nationality because she is Moroccan from her mother rather than father, & it wasn't in the law back then.

With the new law that was passed last spring, allowing people from Moroccan mothers to have nationality, She got her Moroccan nationality. It was published recently on a Moroccan online newspaper that she did.

She did say she was Moroccan when the last Moroccan contestant left.
Also it was rumored that she was going to represent Morocco, but it was "Rola" (the director) idea that she represents Iraq with the image of "The Iraqi Dream"

She wouldn't belong here. If she renounces Morocco verbally & directly. Not just by speaking pseudo(egyptian/lebanese/khaliji)-mixed with Moroccan & representing the iraqi dream. She is free to do/say what she wants, & if you were in her side, maybe you'd do the same thing to plant some smiles on your other country's desperate people who have nothing to cheer.

Well she seems to be Iraqasizing herself, she had concerts in Iraq (the safe northern area) and in interviews no longer speaks the psuedo-Egyptian/Lebanese/Khaliji, she now speaks a phony Iraqi accent interjected with English when she can't otherwise express herself in Arabic. But doesn't that represent the current disjointed state of Iraq now anyway?
