Best part about watching the Grey Cup was the way they played Rush when breaking for commercials.

Does football really suit the Toronto demographic? I would have thought football would be a bit too thuggish, which is why sports like baseball and soccer succeed. Hockey just succeeds because it seems loving hockey is in every Canadian's dna.

early rendering

early rendering of SkyDome. Resembled a modernized Kingdome, especially the interior.

Jovan Belcher, Josh Brent... Bad timing to question a guy's choice of words. That's just the past week or so.

So only "thugs" commit murder-suicide and drink and drive, killing someone in the process?

It was bad timing on your part to question a guy's choice of words. Accept it. Own up to it and move on.

Um, no it wasn't.

It would be a stretch to even associate the players involved in the evens the last two weeks with "thuggish behavior."

Anyone can shoot their girlfriend and then commit suicide. Anyone can flip their car, kill their teammate, and get a DUI.

I guess only black people are thugs huh? And I hate pulling the race card.

So get off your high horse. No one here cares what you think.

Yeah, it went right over your head in the Petco thread...

It was bad timing by JJG to question another individual's choice of words in light of recent events. That's all. He'll hopefully learn from it and we'll all be better off. Oh by the way last time I checked, lover of women, Ben Roethlisberger was white.

It was bad timing to you and only you. In fact, to even make the connection you made is kind of...weird.

As for the Petco thread...wow. Irrelevant.

I don't speak for anyone but myself. In my opinion, JJG should have refrained from commenting about another individual's choice of words. We'll agree to disagree. Time to move on. Showing restraint.

Seems like you're trying to speak for more than just yourself.

Recently there were people whose lives were shattered by the results of actions by football players. I have empathy for them. You may be numb to it. That's the difference between us. Now back to the topic of this thread...

Springsteen concert August 24

I noticed that during this concert the stands are in the baseball configuration. Is it always that way?
