Other big malls in the PA part of the tri-state area include The Gallery (one of the largest downtown malls, 4 blocks long and includes a train station), Franklin Mills Outlet Mall, Montgomery Mall, and Plymouth Meeting Mall.

Westfield Valley Fair
Its one of the biggest malls in the South Bay with a total retail floor area 1,475,600ft2, bordered between San Jose and Santa Clara.
![]() Original Valley Fair: ![]() The mall has been expanded twice already, but they're planning a 3rd expansion. Its also right across the street from Santana Row. ![]()

That's dense. What are you thinking? We're supposed to be showing sprawl development and how great they are.

You all need to see the mall threads for Asia and the wealthier Muslim countries. Their malls blow ours out of the water. Forrizle.

I noticed that Office Max and Staples always seem to anchor these huge strip malls, but everytime I shop at one (which isnt too often) the stores are dead.

Here are some aerials of malls in the Greater Hartford area:
Westfarms and Buckland Hills did a good job of ruining Hartford's downtown retail. With one being west of the city, and the other east, it was a double threat. Westfarms is the more upscale of all three, but Buckland and Meriden have a lot of noveau riche. Enfield's Mall caters to a more "blue-collar" crowd than the others. Westfarms Mall One of the most successful malls per square foot in the US. It does help that it's near some very rich suburbs. Has the only Nordstrom in Connecticut. It kind of looks funny from above because of previous expansion. It doesn't have a food court. ![]() Buckland Hills Mall I already showed this...there are more developments around here, because there is more room. If you are a fan of endless big box and strip malls, you'll love here. They have a nice comedy club there now. ![]() Enfield Square Mall It's a little farther from Hartford, near Massachusetts. Nothing much here, but it has a Target inside the mall. If I ever go there, which I don't really, I go north of the border to get cheaper gas. ![]() Meriden Square Mall This is outside Hartford County. Nothing much here that isn't anywhere else, but I noticed that stuff here is cheaper here. Hard to believe, but it's technically in the New York metro, literally on the fringes. The Hartford metro starts about 5 minutes north. ![]() Hartford is the most suburbanized metro out of all the others in Connecticut, and the majority of the malls in the state are around here. In fact, after Buckland Hills Mall, there are no malls in CT east of it. It's the mall for the entire Northeastern part of Connecticut. Last edited by Xusein; August 25th, 2007 at 04:05 AM. |
