Irrespective of how much imagination was used to come up with the name - I like it!

I like the name a lot
It's going to be a great area of Leicester once this, and the other developments are complete. What a transformation! Do we know any more about the apartments project on Queen Street?

I'm glad that they incorporated Phoenix into the new name but I'm not sure about 'Square'. Phoenix Cube would have been my choice....

I don't like the sound of the 'Phoenix Cube'!
The best thing about the new name is that after a short space of time, people will once again talk about the 'Phoenix'

Retaining the Phoenix name for the new arts centre makes sense, but I don't understand why are they calling the building a square??
It's a bit like calling Curve "Theatre Street", or calling Highcross "Haymarket Avenue".

Binge, I'm sure that one of the more learned posters on here will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe there is a mini 'public square' in the centre of the building where you can have a coffee with an atrium overhead - I'm sure I've seen drawings but I can't seem to find them. Plus, the site where the building's situated has a road / routeway down each side, thus creating a 'square' as it were.
Or maybe I'm just talking boll***s; it wouldn't be the first time.

There is a square in the centre, above one of the new auditoriums in fact.

Is it definitely a square, or is it a rectangle?

Is the Old Market Square definitely a square? I don't think so.

It should be called Old Market Rectangle then. They are making a mistake saying that OMS is one of the biggest squares in the country then. It must be one of the biggest rectangles!

What will they call the square in the middle of Phoenix Square? And is there a square outside Phoenix Square? Why not just Phoenix? It's like Who's On First all over again...
