Or even a completely separate website like Curve's.

I suppose they'll start one nearer the opening time.

Anyone heard any news about this?

Someone told me that the Phoenix may not move, because of problems selling the flats.

Personally I've not heard anything about that. Then again I'm not sure they would want it to be widely known.

Great photos thanks.

Actually I can' believe how large it is, especially when coming towards the city centre from Humberstone Road.

Excellent photos. Glad to see that the building is clearly visible from the ring road. We need more good quality buildings alongside the "concrete collar".

I must admit, the size of the building surprised me too - but when I think of what will actually be housed there, I have no idea why I thought it would be smaller!

Cant believe how quickly this is rising. Great photos. That whole area is starting to take shape. All it needs now are a few more good bars and restaurants for all the pre and post theatre and cinema custom

Excellent build this, can't wait for it to be finished. I'm hoping they continue to work the entire area and spruce it all up to compliment the fantastic projects currently on-going.

And yes, the DMC is bloody big

I wonder how amazing it will look with the proposed hotel alongside it.

Well it's not set in stone, but there is going to be one in-between the DMC and St George's way. Well I'm sure someone onhere said so or I read it somewhere. I'll try to find out.

That would be interesting, they do have quite a space between the new build and the carriageway - not sure about the footprint of any proposed hotel, but it might be a squeeze.

Here's the posts where the hotel bit was mentioned:

I wonder what it's meant to be?

Hmmm, strange indeed. Not a bad place for it, but I'd rather them knock down the International Hotel and build there! (But would of course triple to quadruple any budget being spent on a hotel development)

The 'phantom' building also seems to sit on the site where Staples and Maplin is situated - but I probably shouldn't read too much into that!

No that site is on the other side. Wishful thinking I'm afraid. I'd love to the old International hotel site redeveloped into a great conference centre and a top hotel; whether it is redeveloped or demolished and rebuilt. Great scope for another landmark building on that site.
