ไม่ช่วยไทยใครจะช่วย? 'แอนิเมชั่นไทย' ฝีมือดี.. 'ทีวีไม่หนุน?'

การสร้างภาพเคลื่อนไหวโดยการฉายภาพนิ่งหลาย ๆ ภาพต่อเนื่องกันด้วยความเร็วสูง หรือ “แอนิเมชั่น (animation)” ไม่ว่าจะ นำเสนอทางโทรทัศน์ หรือเป็นภาพยนตร์ ปัจจุบัน “ในประเทศไทย-ฝีมือคนไทย...ไม่ธรรมดา” และจากการสร้างรายได้อย่างสูงลิ่วไม่แพ้ภาพยนตร์ปกติของภาพยนตร์แอนิเมชั่น 3 มิติ เรื่องแรกของประเทศไทย “ก้านกล้วย” ก็จุดประกายให้อุตสาหกรรมแอนิเมชั่นในประเทศไทยตื่นตัว ยิ่งขึ้น

กระแสแอนิเมชั่นในไทยขณะนี้ ว่ากันว่าเริ่มเติบโตต่อเนื่อง ทั้งในรูปแบบภาพยนตร์ การ์ตูนทีวี และโฆษณาก็เริ่มใช้เทคนิคแอนิเมชั่นสร้างมากขึ้น ซึ่งหลายคนมองว่าจะเข้า “ยุคทองของแอนิเมชั่นไทย”

แต่จะใช่-ไม่ใช่ ?? จริง-ไม่จริง ?? ยังไม่แน่.....

กับเรื่องนี้ ลักษมณ์ เตชะวันชัย นายกสมาคมแอนิเมชั่นและคอมพิวเตอร์กราฟฟิกแห่งประเทศไทย (ทีเอซีจีเอ) สะท้อนผ่าน “สกู๊ปหน้า 1 เดลินิวส์” โดยเริ่มต้นว่า... “แอนิเมชั่น” นั้น ถ้าจะให้พูดอธิบาย ง่าย ๆ ก็คือการวาดการ์ตูนที่สามารถเคลื่อนไหวได้ ซึ่งประเทศไทยเรานั้นถือว่ามีความคุ้นเคยกับงานแอนิเมชั่นมายาวนาน ในอดีตคนไทยก็มีการวาดการ์ตูนออกมามากมาย เพียงแต่ไม่มีโอกาสได้ต่อยอดทำเป็นภาพเคลื่อนไหว

ผู้สันทัดกรณีหรือ “แอนิเมเตอร์” รายนี้บอกต่อไปว่า... เนื่องจากสมัยก่อนในบ้านเรายังไม่มีอุปกรณ์คอมพิวเตอร์และซอฟต์แวร์ใช้ทำ เพราะมีราคาที่สูงมาก และการใช้มือวาดการ์ตูนให้เป็นภาพเคลื่อนไหวก็เป็นเรื่องที่ไม่ง่าย อย่างไรก็ตาม ในอดีตที่ผ่านมาประเทศไทยก็เคยมีการ์ตูนที่เคลื่อนไหวได้มาแล้ว คือเรื่อง “สุดสาคร” ที่ทำขึ้นมาโดย ประยุต เงากระจ่าง ที่ใช้มือวาดล้วน ๆ ไม่ได้พึ่งคอมพิวเตอร์

“จะเห็นได้ว่าประเทศไทยมีพื้นฐานกับการทำแอนิเมชั่นมานานมากแล้ว และปัจจุบันฝีมือในการทำแอนิเมชั่นของบุคลากรคนไทยนั้นก็ไม่เป็นรองใคร อุตสาหกรรมแอนิเมชั่นในประเทศไทยก็ได้รับการยอมรับจากต่างประเทศมากขึ้น โดยสามารถทำเงินเข้าประเทศได้เฉลี่ยปีละ 5 พันล้านบาท ซึ่งส่วนใหญ่จะเป็นการรับงานโดยตรงจากต่างประเทศที่ทำในเรื่องของงานโฆษณา”

นายกสมาคมแอนิเมชั่นฯบอกอีกว่า... ปัจจุบันจะเห็นได้ว่าอุตสาห กรรมแอนิเมชั่นในประเทศไทยมีการตื่นตัว แอคทีฟมากขึ้น โดยปัจจุบันมีคนไทยที่มีความสามารถทางด้านแอนิเมชั่นอยู่ประมาณ 10,000 คน มีผู้ประกอบการให้ความสนใจมากขึ้น มีบริษัทนิติบุคคลทางด้านนี้ประมาณ 50 บริษัท

ทางด้านองค์กรของรัฐและสถาบันการศึกษา ก็เริ่มให้ความสนใจในเรื่องนี้มากขึ้น นอกจากนี้ ไทยยังมีสำนักงานส่งเสริมอุตสาหกรรมซอฟต์ แวร์แห่งชาติ หรือซิป้า ที่ทำโครงการแอนิเมชั่นแห่งชาติ ที่ช่วยพัฒนา เสริมทักษะให้กับบุคลากร รวมทั้งส่งเสริมให้มีการผลิตภาพยนตร์แอนิเมชั่นที่มีคุณภาพส่งออกไปขายต่างประเทศ

ทว่า...จนถึงวันนี้ “แอนิเมชั่นไทย” ก็ยังไม่โตเท่าฝีมือ !!

ทั้งนี้ การที่ราคาฮาร์ดแวร์และซอฟต์แวร์เริ่มลดลง ทำให้แอนิเมเตอร์หลายรายสามารถซื้อหามาสัมผัสและพัฒนาชิ้นงานได้เองตามต้องการ ทำให้วงการแอนิเมชั่นในประเทศไทยเริ่มพัฒนาขึ้นมาเป็นลำดับ

แต่เมื่อพิจารณามูลค่าของอุตสาหกรรมแอนิเมชั่นในตลาดโลกที่ล่าสุดสูงถึงปีละ 666 ล้านล้านบาท ขณะที่ประเทศไทยสามารถแชร์ตลาดได้เพียง 3-5 พันล้านบาท “ถือว่าไทยยังชิงส่วนแบ่งในด้านนี้ได้เป็นตัวเลขที่น้อยนิดมาก ถ้าเทียบกับฝีมือ ความสามารถ รวมทั้งเทคนิคของคนไทยในการทำแอนิเมชั่น”

ทั้งที่ในเอเชียนั้นประเทศไทยจะเป็นรองก็เพียงญี่ปุ่นและเกาหลีเท่านั้น เพราะฉะนั้นหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องจึงต้องเร่งส่งเสริม ซึ่งอุตสาหกรรมแอนิเมชั่นก็ถือเป็นอุตสาหกรรมส่งออกที่ดีอีกอุตสาหกรรมหนึ่ง

“ต้องยอมรับว่า ประเทศไทยนั้นมีฝีมือในการทำแอนิเมชั่นมากขึ้นจนต่างประเทศก็ให้การยอมรับ และมีคนหันมาทำภาพยนตร์การ์ตูน แอนิเมชั่นกันมากขึ้น แต่ที่ผ่านมาภาพยนตร์แอนิเมชั่นของคนไทยกลับยังไม่ได้รับความนิยมในประเทศไทยเท่าที่ควร”

ประเด็นนี้ นายกสมาคมแอนิเมชั่นและคอมพิวเตอร์กราฟฟิกแห่งประเทศไทยขยายความ โดยชี้ว่า... เป็นเพราะที่ผ่านมา “สถานีโทรทัศน์ช่อง ต่าง ๆ ของประเทศไทยมีการ์ตูนแอนิเมชั่นของต่างประเทศเยอะกว่าของคนไทยเองมาก ในอัตราส่วนถึง 90% ต่อ 10%”

และจุดนี้ก็คือ “หนึ่งในปัญหาสำคัญของอุตสาหกรรมแอนิเมชั่นของคนไทย” ปัญหาที่เมื่อผลิตผลงานออกมาแล้ว มีโอกาสน้อย หรือไม่มีโอกาสที่จะได้เผยแพร่ผลงานผ่านสื่อโทรทัศน์ของไทยกันเอง

“อุตสาหกรรมแอนิเมชั่นของประเทศไทย ของคนไทย จะยั่งยืนอยู่ได้นั้น ต้องมาจากผู้มีส่วนเกี่ยวข้องทุกฝ่ายที่ต้องร่วมมือร่วมใจกันดำเนินการอย่างต่อเนื่อง ช่วยกันสนับสนุน ไม่ว่าจะเป็นนายทุน หรือแม้แต่ตัวผู้ประกอบการเอง ที่สำคัญสถานีโทรทัศน์ไทยต้องไม่พูดคำว่า 'ซื้อการ์ตูนญี่ปุ่นมาดีกว่า...ถูกกว่า' เพราะถ้าเป็นเช่นนั้น อุตสาหกรรมแอนิเมชั่นของไทยจะแจ้งเกิดจริงจังไม่ได้” ...ลักษมณ์-นายกสมาคมแอนิเมชั่นและคอมพิวเตอร์กราฟฟิกแห่งประเทศไทย กล่าวน่าคิด

นายจิรยุทธ ชุษณะโชติ กรรมการผู้จัดการ บริษัท เชลล์ฮัท เอ็นเทอร์เทนเม้นท์ จำกัด ผู้ผลิตการ์ตูนแอนิเมชัน เปิดเผยว่า ได้ก่อตั้งบริษัทเมื่อปี 2548 เพื่อดำเนินธุรกิจผู้ผลิตการ์ตูนแอนิเมชันด้วยเครือข่ายการผลิตและหุ้นส่วนการค้าระดับนานาชาติ โดยนโยบายการดำเนินธุรกิจบริษัทจะทำอย่างครบวงจร ตั้งแต่ ทีวีซีรีส์ ภาพยนตร์ เกมออนไลน์ เพลงประกอบทั้งในรูปแบบเพลงไทยและสากล และลิขสิทธิ์ในการจัดจำหน่ายสินค้าต่างๆ สำหรับสินค้าที่สนใจ

ล่าสุด ได้ทุ่มงบเกือบ 100 ล้านบาท แบ่งเป็นงบ 83 ล้านบาท ผลิตการ์ตูนแอนิเมชันเรื่อง “เชลล์ดอน” ภายใต้คอนเซปต์แบ่งปันคืนสู่สังคม มีทั้งหมด 52 ตอน ตอนละ 15 นาที ซึ่งบริษัทใช้เวลาผลิตร่วม 8 ปี โดยได้เตรียมงบสนับสนุนในการทำตลาด 10 ล้านบาท ภายใต้การใช้กลยุทธ์มิวสิก มาร์เก็ตติง ในการสร้างกระแสการรับรู้ นำเพลงออกอากาศตามสถานีวิทยุและโทรทัศน์ และดาวน์โหลดริงโทน ควบคู่กับโมบายคอนเท็นต์ต่างๆ

ทั้งนี้ ภาพยนตร์จะเริ่มออกอากาศทางสถานีวิทยุช่อง 3 จากนั้นในช่วงไตรมาสสี่สินค้าอื่นๆ จะตามออกมา ไม่ว่าจะเป็นเพลง เกมออนไลน์ ตลอดจนการจัดทำโฮมเอ็นเตอร์เทนเมนต์ในรูปแบบวีซีดี และดีวีดี หลังจากที่ออกอากาศทีวีซีรีส์ประมาณ 1 เดือน สำหรับภาพยนตร์เรื่องเชลล์ดอนการผลิตได้ร่วมกับโปรดักชันเฮาส์ที่มีชื่อเสียงของไทย สิงคโปร์ และไต้หวัน ร่วมกันสร้างสรรค์ผลงาน

นายจิรยุทธ กล่าวต่อถึงแผนการดำเนินธุรกิจว่า ในปี 2553 บริษัทได้เตรียมทุ่มงบ 300 ล้านบาท สร้างภาพยนตร์ เชลล์ดอน เพื่อต่อยอดหลังจากทำทีวีซีรีส์ ซึ่งล่าสุดบริษัท เอ็นเตอร์เทนเมนต์ ไรท์ ผู้แทนจำหน่ายด้านลิขสิทธิ์และดูแลด้านการตลาดในต่างประเทศจากประเทศอังกฤษ ได้นำภาพยนตร์ดังกล่าวแสดงในงาน MIPTV ที่เมืองคานน์ส ประเทศฝรั่งเศส ปรากฏว่า ได้รับความสนใจเป็นอย่างดี โดยเตรียมออกอากาศใน 45 ประเทศ จาก 6 ทวีป ได้แก่ อเมริกาเหนือ อเมริกาใต้ ยุโรป แอฟริกา เอเชีย และออสเตรเลีย

สำหรับในประเทศอเมริกาจะเริ่มออกอากาศในไตรมาส 2 ของปี 2552 นอกจากนี้ ในปี 2554 วางแผนสร้างภาพยนตร์เกี่ยวกับศาสตร์ฮวงจุ้ย (Legend of the master) ทั้งนี้ จากการดำเนินธุรกิจอย่างครบวงจร บริษัทตั้งเป้าหมายผลประกอบการในช่วง 3-5 ปี มีรายได้ 500 ล้านบาท

Thai animation series sets sights on world

Shellhut Entertainment Co, a local animation producer, aims to launch Thailand's first 3D animated TV series Shelldon, in worldwide markets, hoping to earn at least 500 million baht within three to five years.


Shelldon features the adventures and friendships of Shelldon, a shell hero and his marine friends.


''Apart from entertainment, the animation would help convey not only family-care messages but also raise concerns about environmental issues and educate children about marine life,'' said Jirayuth Chusanachoti, the managing director of Shellhut Entertainment.


After eight years of production with a total investment of 83 million baht, the Thai animation series is scheduled to be launched first in Thailand on Channel 3 in October.


The 52-episode series, each lasting 15 minutes, will be broadcast on Monday and Tuesday from 7:45 to 8 pm.


The Thai-made animation's script and music were also advised on and contributed by professionals including Hollywood and Walt Disney film producers and singers.


UK-based Entertainment Rights, the Shelldon animation rights holder, started selling Shelldon in April and currently there were 45 countries interested in buying the broadcasting rights including the US network NBC.


The rights are divided into three channels: broadcasting rights, home entertainment and licensed merchandising.


The series episodes are expected to be broadcast internationally starting in the second quarter next year.


The total marketing budget is 10 million baht which will include roadshows, environment-related activities such as setting up climate-alert centres in major areas such as departments stores, BTS stations and schools around Bangkok. It will also promote the series through music marketing by playing Shelldon theme songs on radio and television.


It also plans to introduce licensed merchandise, a website community and online games after the launch of the series in October.


As well, the company is currently developing two featured films _ Shelldon and Legend of the Master (Feng Shui) _ scheduled to launch in 2010 and 2011 respectively.


''At first, we would like everyone to get to know the characters before the movies are launched,'' said Dr Jirayuth.


Shellhut Entertainment is a subsidiary of Shellhut Co Ltd, a major shellcraft manufacturer and exporter.

It might not be "bad" but it IS talking about me and my abilities. So I kinda find it really wrong that someone would pull that kind of shit especially when I am trying to discover my nationality, roots and heritage along with you guys.

“โครงการของบริษัท โอเรียลทัล โพสท์ เป็นการลงทุนจากกลุ่มนักลงทุนไทยทั้งสิ้น และเป็นกิจการมูลค่าเพิ่มสูงที่เป็นหนึ่งในอุตสาหกรรมเป้าหมายที่บีโอไอต้องการเน้นให้เกิดการลงทุนเพิ่มมากขึ้น ซึ่งการดำเนินการด้านนี้จะเป็นประโยชน์ต่อประเทศสามารถสร้างรายได้เข้าประเทศรวมถึงเกิดการพัฒนาบุคลากรในประเทศให้มีความรู้ในด้านดังกล่าวมากขึ้น” นายสาธิต กล่าว

ทั้งนี้ บริษัทจะพัฒนาระบบซอฟต์แวร์ ตั้งแต่การศึกษาความต้องการและหน้าที่ของระบบงานที่จะนำไปพัฒนาเป็นระบบซอฟต์แวร์ การออกแบบซอฟต์แวร์ การพัฒนาและสร้างสรรค์ระบบซอฟต์แวร์ ทดสอบโปรแกรม ประยุกต์ใช้ร่วมกับระบบงานและเครือข่ายคอมพิวเตอร์อื่นๆ ของบริษัทกับลูกค้า รวมไปถึงการเปลี่ยนแปลงระบบตามความต้องการของลูกค้า และการฝึกอบรมการใช้ซอฟต์แวร์แก่ลูกค้าด้วย

สำหรับกิจการซอฟต์แวร์เป็นกิจการที่บีโอไอ จัดให้เป็นกิจการที่มีความสำคัญ และเป็นประโยชน์ต่อเศรษฐกิจของประเทศเป็นพิเศษ โดยได้รับสิทธิประโยชน์ ยกเว้นอากรขาเข้าเครื่องจักรทุกเขตที่ตั้ง ได้รับยกเว้นภาษีเงินได้นิติบุคคลเป็นเวลา 8 ปี โดยไม่กำหนดสัดส่วนการยกเว้นภาษีเงินได้นิติบุคคล และล่าสุด กิจการซอฟต์แวร์ อยู่ในกลุ่มที่บีโอไอได้ปรับแนวทางการพิจารณาอนุมัติโครงการ จากเดิมภายใน 40 วัน เหลือเพียง 15 วันทำการ เพื่ออำนวยความสะดวกในการขอรับส่งเสริมการลงทุนได้รวดเร็ว สอดรับกับปีแห่งการลงทุนไทย 2551-2552 และจูงใจนักลงทุนให้มาลงทุนในประเทศมากขึ้น
