Aeocom are looking at centralising all of their staff in the one building in the Brisbane CBD. At current staffing levels they would need about 50,000sqm, so I would say they'd need at least 60,000sqm for future growth.

This could be a potential tennant for Trinity's tower on Queen Street where they said they would be developing 80,000sqm. Could move the project forward a little.

Who are Aeocom and how many staff have they got now? Hopefully, like you say, it's enough to anchor one of the big towers being developed.

Maunsell is a company within Aecom. They essentially do a large range of engineering, planning, surveying etc. Global Website

I am pretty sure they had more than 10,000 staff.

Yeah there will be 4 towers all of which are over 100m tall with the tallest being Rialto-esque in height (possibly taller).

There is no doubt many of these new proposed towers are tall.....but many gain from great proportions, floor plate size/height....while Melbourne continues with its love of large floor plates I don't see sleek towers rising here. Also Gold Coast developments are mainly residential...where other cities are more likely to be office development...pushing the large floor plate idea. The scale diagram of building height comparisons is out! Q1 is nowhere near that height....as I have said before it is really only slightly higher than Rialto with metal framework and spike on top. I like it.....just see it as it is.

No one....but when I see comparative diagrams I like them to be...comparative. It is good to see one building scaled against another as sometimes proportion and surrounding structures make it difficult to see a buildings size compared to another in another city or country...eg. ( What would we do without Culwulla ) The Empire State in NY is such a well known building it is good to compare other buildings with it and get an idea of their size and height. This example is what promted my comment as looked as though Q1's ob deck was higher than the E.S.B. on diagram.

The E1 and E2 towers are stunning. Only the Gold Coast deserves them.
