someone says something bad and then 10 people say: "london is the best city", "london is the most powerful city", "london doesnt suck, your city does","your an idiot" and so on... sad! imagine that would happen in every thread when someone says "bad design!" keep your local-patriotic behavior for yourself. you dont have to defend your city like children, specialy not since its london.
im not defending the chinese dude, but your reactions are more disgusting than his bad critizism.
btw I i like the tower! ;-) and to chinese translations: not every city needs a skyline on doping :-)
(yes my english kinda sucks)

I agree: say something bad about a building, skyline or city, and some will act like they were kicked squarely in the nuts, and start screaming insults or making teary-eyed pleads to mods to ban that person. Kinda pathetic if you feel personally offended if someone states an unfavorable opinion.

I don't really like this tower either, btw. Or at least the facade: it's not my cup of tea. However, if they'd build this tower in my hometown, I'd be very pleased nonetheless (it's 50 meters taller than the tallest structure in my town).

it wasn't that he said that it was a bad design. he said that because London's syline isn't as large as other cities, it is therefore a wimpy city.

Woah slow down with your technical jargon, are you sure you are not an Architect or Civil Engineer?
Your comments are very ill-informed and i don't like it when people make comments when they have no clue what makes a great world city. You don't understand the meaning of living in a large wealthy city, if it means it has to have supertall buildings.
Chinese cities do not have over 200 languages spoken, with every nationality of the world living there, in relative harmony and prosperity. No, your cities are full of soulless anonymous apartment blocks to house workers from the Chinese countryside. So don't make utterly stupid comments in future please

It's a cool building. Should be called 'Zebra Tower'.

I'm a Londoner, London is a great city. I also think Strata is a great building (although I think the cladding looks better in the renders); nonetheless in my opinion itís the most exciting residential building by a long shot. Having said all of that, come on guys, the dude is entitled to an opinion and ultimately thatís all it is - his opinion. No need to slate China and furthermore in 10 years time I think we will all admire what China has achieved. On the point of 3 high rises, I donít take this comment literally but I guess to the average person on the street, London probably does have 3 -4 "noticable" high rises. Anyway I just wanted to say the guy is entitled to his opinion without being vilified for it
