Sang-am stadium pics are always same format and angle... why? lol..
the photographing point is on the "Haneul Gongwon"(Sky Park)... very popular site for that..
From the point, you can see such angled stadium...
if you turn your head rightward from there,,, you can see Yeoido and Mokdong.. Nightview's very attractive..

1988 Seoul Olympic Games Main Stadium

We cannot except this stadium for it's historic importance...

Designed by Kim Su Geun... Completed on Sep 29 1984... Capacity of 69950

I had taken these two pictures last winter.

Is baseball popular in Korea? I thought football was far more popular than baseball.

baseball has been quite popular traditinally in korea,.. although the football was overwhelmingly popular by the influence of worldcup at one time but not now that much, so it's hard to say which of both is more popular now,..
the fact is, baseball not popular as much as in US, and football is not popular as much as europe,,

so investment about the baseball stadiums has been little so far, while football stadiums has quite much for worldcup.. thus, about the baseball stadiums, it's not worth to sightsee, cuz all those are old and out of date (moreover architecturally those were unseemly). but lately, new investments are being planned.

samples of new investments lately as follows :

Gocheok-dong, Seoul
...

Dome stadium in Ansan
....
