We looked at mountains until dawn, and then when dawn came, it was too pretty for me - there was pink and blue and gold, in the sky, and on icy places, brilliant pink and gold flashes, and the snow was colored too, and I said," Oh," and sighed; and each moment was more beautiful than the one before; and I said, " I love you, Momma." Then I fell asleep in her arms.
That was happiness then.

Cool pics!
We're going to visit Budapest in August this year. Looks like a city full of great architecture. We're looking forward to our visit to that place.

It really is quite striking isn't it. It's so iconic of Budapest.

Thank you. Me too, I'd quite like to go back there actually to see some other places that I didn't have time to see.

Hi, sounds greats. Have fun there, there is so much to see and as you say, the architecture is wonderful, as is a lot of the architecture in surrounding towns and places.

I agree there, though as you say the Baths are amazing. I first learnt about them in the film I Spy lol. They're right next to the old bridge and the tunnel.

Thanks for all your replies!

Wonderful Budapest, though you must say the first pics of tuesday 29 are taken in Szentendre, (aren't they?) a lovely town near BP.

Thanks for the pics!

Hi there, I was wondering if anyone would notice that the first few of Tuesday 29th were not taken in Budapest but yes, thank you for pointing it out. I take it you've been there?

I was there a few times... very nice, but a bit too much "touristic" for me.

Wonderful Budapest - there are many restoration projects going on at the moment making the city even better and quite a few still to do.
The Var (Buda) and Vaci Utca (Pest) are the worst "touristy"areas, avoid these, other than the must see view of the Danube from the Var, and you will get a very different feel of this wonderful city - I have been lucky so far, always wonderful weather!!
