btw i like very much the asian part of Istanbul ... you know that long boulevard stratching from the Fenerbahce stadium all the way east ... All the neighbourhoods there look even better than Cannes or Nice in France

You mean Bagdad Avenue but I prefer Istiklal caddesi with its ancient buildings and nostalgic tram. But sorry I am not allowed to talk about asian Istanbul here although that street is just 5 km more eastern than the photos I posted above.

The architect of Zloty Tarasy is the same as of Istanbul Kanyon, isn't it?

I think i wrote before that a bulgarian would feel a lot better and welcomed in Istanbul than in Skopie or some other christian state's capitals in the region , so I personally have no problems with the turks Cheers, komsho

And good fr you living in that part of Istanbul ... I loved it even more than the night pubs of Taxim

we're not pro turkish but we have no problems with them and we have no reasons to be negative. Turkish minority (second largest) is loyal and genuenly loves Macedonia, we are always very welcome in Turkey as tourists without feeling intimidated. And U got their big influence on our culture which makes us quite compatibile. Ottoman past is far behind us...

See, I am not sure we can say the same about our minority. Certainly the scars of the past are still omnipresent today's Bulgaria.

Not sharing a border with Turkey probably makes you feel more comfortable.

thats because todays Turks dont have any problem with this part of the world, we are just people work for better and healthy life and die at the end... no need to act negative or unfriendly towards other people, this is real civilization imo.

btw im glad you enjoyed my neighborhood generally tourists never come these parts of the city.

That's the magic sentence but some still don't fotget things which happened 500 years ago although their grand-grand-grand-grand father didn't live back then Turk = Ottoman = they ruled us = we must hate them

I think it is also because Turkey is a lot larger country and the people(at least those in Istanbul) suffer from a lot fewer complexes and prejudices ... Btw - the smaller the country is on the balkans - the bigger the complexes and prejudices of the population are. I really liked your neighbourhood.

Poland and Turkey are the leaders in the malls department by far in my book.

I doubt many people actually think Turkey is a thread, rather the Turkish minority in Bulgaria which is in the hands of an ex-agent from the Bulgarian equivalent of KGB. At least that's what people mostly talk.

And to put everything in one post. It's not exactly a mall, but this is my personal fave in Bulgaria (didn't see someone posting it):

outside (front):

Turkey is NOT in Europe, so it has no place here.
We only allow its Thracian parts here, and the western side of Istanbul, the same way we allow Greeks and Russians.

well the only reason this is weird to me is because it seems as though every country in eastern europe has their own sub forum except a few, and turkey and greece are two of the countries that DO have their own sub forums...it's not fair for them to post in two parts

what if i felt like going there and posting pictures of albanian malls and beaches and mountains etc?

A bit more interesting to me is what is going to happen if they decide to post photos of Greek malls in the Turkish forum or vice versa

Anyway, that question has too much politics inside, so I'd leave it alone
