I Wandered Lonely As A Cloud I WANDERED lonely as a cloud That floats on high o'er vales and hills, When all at once I saw a crowd, A host, of golden daffodils; Beside the lake, beneath the trees, Fluttering and dancing in the breeze. Continuous as the stars that shine And twinkle on the milky way, They stretched in never-ending line Along the margin of a bay: Ten thousand saw I at a glance, Tossing their heads in sprightly dance. The waves beside them danced; but they Out-did the sparkling waves in glee: A poet could not but be gay, In such a jocund company: I gazed--and gazed--but little thought What wealth the show to me had brought: For oft, when on my couch I lie In vacant or in pensive mood, They flash upon that inward eye Which is the bliss of solitude; And then my heart with pleasure fills, And dances with the daffodils. - William Wordsworth

in time of daffodils
![]() in time of daffodils(who know the goal of living is to grow) forgetting why, remember how in time of lilacs who proclaim the aim of waking is to dream, remember so(forgetting seem) in time of roses(who amaze our now and here with paradise) forgetting if,remember yes in time of all sweet things beyond whatever mind may comprehend, remember seek(forgetting find) and in a mystery to be (when time from time shall set us free) forgetting me,remember me --e.e. cummings Listen to Music: In Time of Daffodils ![]() This poem states that we can never truly forget something: that by forgetting it, we merely make its presence in our mind by making the effort to forget it. It's as though our minds do the opposite of what we intend them to do. "remember seek(forgetting find)" We tend to put more emphasis on seeking than in remembering where we may have lost whatever it was we were looking for. "and in a mystery to be / (when time from time shall set us free) / forgetting me,remember me" Cummings used a continuous concatenate phrase and rhyme in this stanza to emphasize, that try as hard for us to forget, we remember.

![]() The Enchanted Kingdom (in praise of Lawrence Ferlinghetti) The rollercoaster ride beyond Midway Was where they shouted their lungs out Exhilaration so unreal Ketchup and mayo smearing cheeks As dogs were taken in with Mountain Dew Time was flying that October afternoon Til the next October ........................And the next ....................................And the next The sands would quickly trickle down To the bottom of the glass And before his eyes The baby was a lady In a quick adieu, The girl ran to her university Indeed a different October And while the tears were falling ...................................He cried ...............................................Too soon! Too soon!

Thanks @Lili. Just couldn't get my mind off the fact that one of these days, these kids will soon start off with a life of their own. It's one of those cases of "Before you know it......"

^ Oh yes. My father was reminiscing again after seeing the movie "Father of the Bride" and for goodness's sake I'm still there with him!

Oh I wouldn't want to think of "Father of the Bride" scenarios. I have about 10 years to prepare myself emotionally for the University scenario. It might take another 10 for me to get ready for an FOTB set-up.
I'm quite a sobber when it comes to these scenarios. Your comment and the emoticon is funny ![]() Don't worry, maybe God isn't through with this guy He's set apart for you. To have him any sooner could spell disaster. (ewan ko ba ba't nasusulat ko ito. prophetic kaya?)

^ Sleep oh Blessed Sleep
Sleep oh blessed sleep, the place where I can dream, of all that I do need my energy to keep. Sleep oh blessed sleep, The place of future hope, in places far away, and love for me to keep Sleep oh blessed sleep Lull me with your content, Keep me ever safe my souls sanity to keep. Sleep oh blessed sleep, Let me emerge at morn, With clearer thought and mind, with no more need to weep - Susan AlldredLugton |

From my blog; composed for a school contest.
"For the Name of the Lord" (Lorenzo Ruiz's Diary) I did good, I did well Gave my life to others but not tell Resisted to the temptations of hell, Lord if it is what you want, I will not quarrel Invasion came, I went to Japan Left my family to my beloved land Albeit hard and hurt, I need to flee Lord if it is what you want, so shall it be The wind billowed hard, but it didn't drag our spirits down That's not a reason for our hearts to frown Finally, we docked at a shore in Japan Safe and sound with spirits as high as the sun We stayed but hid from the emperor After knowing he's a great terror, Our hearts jumped in horror For being a Christian is against his favor And so we moved from one place to another Fearing that the emperor is after The emperor, not knowing Christians are in Japan But for You, your love is in my hands And so we were captured Got punished and tortured Excruciated and hurted, I withstanded Hanged upside-down and forever I was exalted... I shouted, "Punish and torture me, kill me!; Even a thousand times, but it will always be my honor, To die for the name of the Lord!" Did I already post this before?

Not yet. But that is a good composition @Gerald. Didn't you submit an essay to a contest before?

Broken Dreams
As children bring their broken toys With tears for us to mend, I brought my broken dreams to God Because He was my friend. But then instead of leaving Him In peace to work alone, I hung around and tried to help With ways that were my own. At last I snatched them back and cried, "How could you be so slow" "My child," He said, "What could I do? You never did let go." Robert J. Burdette
