Good explanation, thanks.
So it is M for magistrala, N for national road, in Ukrainian it is probably derived from the similar words. P and T are probably first letters of Ukrainian words for the local roads.

P is Cyrillic for "R".

Quite an interesting merge! Notice the lack of merging lane, the lack of markings, and the usage of asphalt pavement that seems to indicate that the majority of traffic merges in the "fast lane" (if we admit that there are two lanes on the collector/distributor).

Well, sadly we don't know this much in general about Ukrianina roads, as much as Ukrainian users can provide or someone taking photos there...

Pedestrian crossing?!?! no crash barrier with such a little median?

That's not good enough for a ukrainian category M.

Pavement and signs look great though!

@Euro2012Highway, maybe you could provide pics or vids of other M roads in UA, just to understand what exactly this category highways are meant to look like?

Part 2 will be a trailer:

Na tej stacji benzynowej się zatrzymaliśmy:

Facet stojący z lewej strony zdjęcia zabronił robienia zdjęć stacji. Obywatelu, bądź czujny wobec wroga narodu!

Zjazdy do stacji wyglądają tak, że pojawia się pas zjazdy, który jednak przechodzi łagodnie w pas wjazdu, i mamy takie nie wiadomo co.

A wygląda on tak:

Coś jak nasz PKS, tam każdy jest żółty, nie jak u nas od przypadku do przypadku.

„Niemiec”

Na tej drodze nie ma żadnego dodatkowego ograniczenia prędkości, a innych znaków jak na lekarstwo:

Part 7 and 9 do not have a correct link.

Nice pics... for a local/regional road. It's obviously not an international standard road for such an important number (M11). Though it isn't too bad, there are road markings and road signs, though the pavement seems bad to mediocre.

What were your experiences with traffic behaviour in UA?

Well, considering the road they drive quite fast, but not all of them. It's hard to say how fat will they go on a normal road.
Road markings are only a suggestion, traffic lights are not always respected, but what is surprising they sometimes stop to let people pass even not on a pedestrian crossing.

Older cars are poorely maintained, look as if they were about to fall apart.

When we were coming back, we nearly ran over a cyclist driving in the middle of the road (obviously having no lights at all - both the cyclist and the road). It was around 11 pm then and it's just as if someone has switched off the light.
