Romania isn't west of Kiev, that would be quite a long separate motorway (unless you mean NW Romania, but it isn't important).

You misunderstood me: you come from direction Kiew-Russian border, and approximetaly at the city of Iwano-Frankiwsk you could distribute the traffic in 4 directions (okay, maybe we can leave out SK direction since its nearly the same as HU): NW Europe (Poland), SW Europe (Hungary), SE Europe (Romania)

Anyway, it was just small mindstorm of mine.

I doubt there will ever be a direct motorway between Kiev and Ivano-Frankivsk.

In the end there will be. If Ukraine reaches western European welfare / mass-mobilization, there will be a couple of thousand kilometers of motorway. Look at Germany, UK, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Netherlands, etc, virtually all cities over 100 000 inhabitants are connected with at least one, but often multiple motorways.

How more clear do I have to make my self? The financial situation is fabulous. Tomorrow another S-class and the day after a nice Castle mansion on the coast of Black Sea with a nice Audi A7 by the front doors. You see, it's not so bad!!!
For God sake guys, we are talking about building roads here while the people in home sweet home Eastern Ukraine feel completely fooled and dumped by this guy. He is a nobody to some of them today, simply useless. Poor people who fought in WW2 and the rest of elderly have to get shit money pension but still pay a triple more of that for costs of gas, electricity and so on.. Look it up, YouTube is full of that. Promise? What Promise? What Roads? What better life and jobs? Bullf*ckingshit not promise, when the whole world has to dump some of there own money into the Chernobyl Cover. You think that's right that the country has to bag on their knees in front of International Bank for that money while fealty rich cats get even more fat each day from their brand new cars and pretend in front of the world that the country is poor and needs help? It's sad, just sad...

Anyways, sorry for this rant. I hope some of you know what I'm trying to say here and what I feel like the rest of the people in Ukraine. Thanks for checking out the pics, it is what it is. For better or worst we will still host nice Euro2012 and show the world that this is about soccer(futbol) and only that! Gangster mafia Politics can simply F*ck Off!

Road trip from Khyriv to Lviv by Skiff MC

Sure, maybe not a direct motorway, but Ivano-Frankivsk is big enough to be connected to a future Ukrainian motorway system, which would provide a fairly direct route to Kiev and other large cities of Ukraine. Ivano-Frankivsk has 220 000 inhabitants, how many western European cities like that have not at least 2 or 3 motorways serving it?

I don't have to go so far, all our towns have motorways. Ivano-Frankivsk could get a motorway connection in the future, but that's not the point. The initial claim by Jack_Frost was that you'll use the same motorway from Kyiv to Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, as well as Romania. That simply isn't true for Romania (except NW Romania, which is too small to be important). The motorway to Romania will be separate, probably running via Chernivtsi. Even if there will be a branch to Romania via Ivano-Frankivsk, it certainly won't be short.

The Romanian Government has sent a request to the EC to approve the extension of C IX from Iasi northbound to the Ukrainian border. This was somehow expected, and I think the EC will approve it. This will be the first secondary branch of C IX on Romania's territory, after the C IV branching out to Craiova and Vidin-Calafat bridge.

In late 2010 or early 2011 a new section of the Donetsk Ring Road opened near the new airport. This makes the Donetsk ring road for about 3/4th or 2/3rd completed.

Nice motorway and nice Dacia btw!

How wide is the median green lane? It seems quite wide.

Not that much. I think as one lane, i.e. 3.75m
And this is not gonna be the ring road, but rather 2 separated bypasses (eastern and western), which will serve dedicated routes. At least till the better times.

Dnipropetrovsk southern bypass which will become an element of M04 (E50) when finished is going to be 64 km long and should be finished by the end of 2014. Here is rough scheme of route I made judging by as much rough description in the press

This year they gonna finish first stage which is 18 km long and will connect M04 (direction to Kryvyi Rih) with H08 (direction to Zaporizhzhia). Works started on April 15th. Some shots can be found here http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showpo...postcount=1449

Romania and Ukraine initiated yesterday the Black Sea- Baltic Sea Motorway project. The motorway will leave from the termination of A5 in Romania (part of C IX) in Focsani and go north to Iasi and then Cernauti, Ternopil, and then connect to Krakow-Lvov-Kiev motorway. This motorway will be an interconnection route with C III, C IX, and C IV and will be submitted for approval in TEN-T:

I'm afraid that E50 'Western Ukraine' motorway is not properly drawn here. They simply used a current M-06 corridor.

It's quite hard to find any solid maps by Ukravtodor or motorway building programmes. There seem be a confusion between 'avtomobilna doroga' and 'avtomagistral' (motorway)

I don't think there is a specific motorway building programme.
