Wonderful, thanks a lot! But I must ask, i was reading this topic and noticed reports about how bad the Ternopil - Lviv road is.

Was the road reconstructed?

From what I heard, Ternopil-Lviv has sections of uneven pavement, but the most problematic sections have been renovated this year. It is definitely better than Chernivtsi-Ivano-Frankivsk-Lviv.

Reconstruction works on M05 (Kyiv-Odessa) highway in Kyiv region (starting about 30:00 on the video, before this point the driver is on P19 road).

Google Maps gives me two options, one via Ivano-Frankivsk and the other one through Ternopil. Which one is better? I'm thinking more in road quality terms rather than sightseeing terms.

Many thanks!
Hi Cristian!
Which route did you take in the end, and how were the roads?
Many many thanks!

Is there any map which show quality of surface on ukrainian roads, for example with colors?

Just to give fast overview which roads are in good condition and which better to bypass.

I see that gas prices in Ukraine are very low compared to those of Greece.....how exactly does that happen?
Anyway, that's really cool, congratulations Ukraine!!

18 hryvnias is about 0,7€. Prices may be higher in the EU, but you are never sure about petrol quality in Ukraine, it is a real problem here. International gas networks in Ukraine usually have higher prices, but also much better quality.

Yes, I know what you mean, I've heard the same thing about petrol in Albania and other countries, too. How much does petrol cost in other gas networks, btw?

If you need better pertol, it usually costs about 20-23 hryvnias (around 0,9 Euro) per litre. This can be found on foreign-owned stations like Shell or SOCAR (Azerbaijan) and a few local networks, too.

Construction Works have been resumed on the bypass road around Reni (Odessa region, Ukraine's border with Moldova), which is part of E87 corridor.

Do you have any info about financing?

With dire situation, is Ukraine receiving any money from EU/USA to help kick start the infrastructure, or does Ukraine still have to pay by itself?

The ENP sometimes provides funding for such projects, but certainly not on the scale of regular funding within EU.

There is a government programme to redirect part of border tolls to finance road construction in border regions.

I am sorry, could you tell me when the approx. 2 km of carriageway in Vita Poshtova on M05 will be at last reconstructed... It is dreadful as there is absolutely no progress since end of July. Seems the company Altcom feeds on govt's money cause it had to repair the old 4-lane 68 km long before Feb 2016 to new 6-lane, and it has only about 8 in one direction and 4 in another. Could you tell me any progress on the road and tell any suggestions when this will be at least ended.
PS. The road isn't very bad in Ukr standart, but awful for an E-road. I feel awful when I see approx. 6 bln Uah were spent on a circus which involved a 4 km road repair for 28 months, considering the fact that in 94% of days the employees were drinking instant coffee the whole day long in their hut, and then were sleeping the rest of the time.
PPS. Send hello to Andriy Pyvovarskiy for his excellent job made in road revitalizing.

This is good, it means Ukraine is adopting EU / American style working methods!

In old way would have been vodka instead!

Isn't it pronounced "samohon" in Ukrainian?
