Section of M10 motorway near Krakovets border crossing with Poland is under construction to separate passenger cars and freight transport. The road under construction is shown black on the map.

So this new section is going to be for passenger cars or for trucks? How is this going to work with already built custom buildings which stay far aside of newly build road?

It is being built for passenger cars, while the old border crossing will serve trucks.

Hi everyone

Just one question : I saw on a website that to enter in Ukraine (that I would like to visit for the only reason that I'm desperately curious and I'm in Romania now), the owner of the car who is writed on the vehicle documents has to be present when I cross the border... Is it true? (I'm curently driving an old car from my dad and the papers of the car are still on his name because in Europe this is no problem with that... ).

And also, is there usualy a long waiting at the Sighetul Marmație-Solotvyne border control?

Thanks!

As far as I'm informed, a legal document stating you have the permission to drive the car is sufficient. I have one for the car of my parents-in-law. If not, the driver should be present.
Queue at Sighetu / Solotvino are usually not long. You can as well cross the border by walking.

According to the law you must have your driving permission but you needn't have your car document(technical passport) if:a)the owner had written a permittance for your name to drive the car or b) when you have a special sign on the document that shows it can be used by e.g. wife, but then you needn't write a permission. All AFAIK

Okay, thanks for these informations!

It's a bit strange, for example (AFAIK) in Serbia there is no such rules or at least, the 2-3 times I've been in Serbia I didn't get in trouble because of this...

Anyway, maybe I will try without it (will they block me from entering the country?) or I will wait and ask my father this paper...

Worst parts of the road between Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk have been repaved.

Progress on M03 Kyiv-Kharkiv road as of late December. The Works are currently halted due to Winter conditions.

M04 nearby Kyiv northbound is under repair. Concrete blocks that were laid in 1970s(!) and still formed a nice road (mediocre quality in EU standarts) are now being removed. Progress has been made till Khodosiivka. Allegedly there was 15 cm of beautiful concrete. What are they going to do with it? Will they put asphalt?
The problem is, the section had never had any capital repairs since the time made, but it is still comparable to the B autoroutes in Wallonia. Seems the actual reason for repair is the President's will(he lives in Kozyn, by the road). So they reconstruct the smooth road, pouring tons of money into WHAT? WHEN THIS STUPID MONEY POURING INTO NOTHING WILL BE FINISHED? I can't bear it. They'd have better poured the money into H03

Is there a reason the first sign shows Lviv to the right while the city is actually to the left (see the sign in the background on the crossbeam)? I missed it already twice. Just a tourist trap to laugh at me?

It shows a nearby hotel, so that everyone stays there after getting lost

I saw some changes in signs in Lviv region - at least M roads(not everywhere yet) are now signed in red font, while the T roads have yellow font. They are pretty, and they make the signs more colourful.
Strangely, IT IS ONLY IN LVIV REGION!!!!???
Will it be in whole Ukraine soon, or is it just a joke from Lvivavtodor?
