I doubt it, since the M-3 heads east towards Poltava and Charkiv. (and further to Rostov-on-Don). The M-2 and M-1 heads north.

Actually youre wrong Chris! M3 goes north to Moscow. To Poltava and Charkiv goes M19 east.

Your atlas numbering is also strange, according to my Ukrainian atlas (2003) the M3 starts near Kipti and goes to Orel (RUS). Maybe after 2 years they changed road numbering?

Your atlas probably still has the old Soviet Union numbering, because on Russian side, the M3 continues to Brjansk, Kaluga and Moscow. The Russian M2 is adjacent to that via Orel.
