Will they redo the facade as well? It could use a facelift.

I contacted Rudolph about doing a story on the delayed highrises for downtown and he said he would do one for me. Glad to see it came true.

All of the developers who can't get their projects built downtown should get together and have another fake groundbreaking BBQ on the Pinnacle site. Bowtie required.

Borders has decided not to put a store at MPTC and instead will put a store you know where according to a reliable source.

Finally a post. Construction costs will never go down. Economy could rebound though in the future.

My point exactly! This means they should either build it now (since costs will only go up) or just admit that they cannot build it at all and scrap it. |

The Bookends developer said a year ago that he was thinking about increasing the height of the phase II building. Now he's thinking about lowering it. I have pretty much given up on highrises here and have started focusing my attention on the mixed-use developments instead.

Who cares. I sure don't. I only care about MPTC and the Point. Highrises? Who needs them. I like the Courtyard by Marriott, Riverplace, and Woolworth redevelopment a lot more. Adds more pedestrian activity and retail/restaurant space.

Don't get me wrong. I like highrises but it's not the end of the world if the POM doesn't get built. However, if the gateway site doesn't get built like it's supposed to then I will sh*t in my pants.

Read my previous post man. There is a certain one I care about mainly do to the fact that it's an eyesore and not in an area where they'll be many pedestrians to begin with.

So, we should be seeing plans/renderings for Woolworth and Gateway site sometime between next week-March along with decision for federal courthouse. Should be some good stuff coming up for downtown.
