Some great pics there Newcastle Guy.

I went up to watch the Great North Run last October (great event by the way) and I was really impressed with the city. There are so many beautiful old buildings and streetscapes. The Tyne Bridge is legendary and the Quayside with it's seven bridges (both old and new) is magical. I was really impressed with the nightlife too.

I also went up to Northumberland a few months back, where we visited places like Kielder Water and Alnwick Castle and again, I was really impressed with it. The North East is MASSIVELY under-rated here in the UK.

I'm assuming these are all self taken photos so will move this to Urban Showcase. PM me if this is not the case.

He states earlier that they're all from Flickr.

NewcastleGuy, you're my ******* hero.

These photos are awesome. Newcastle's my second home and I've been really missing it lately. Thanks to patachou for bumping this thread as well. These photos have bought back a tonne of memories, they've really made my day!

Newcastle is gorgeous. I didn't get a chance to stop for a visit, but I saw a little bit of the city while passing through on the train from Edinburgh to London.

Grat pics of what seems to be a very nice city. I love the bridge, very impressive.

I like the way Newcastle looks very grand (old part) and yet very modern for such a "small" city. No modesty here!
