That's a little rich coming from someone from Dunedin...

I thought everyone in Dunedin was well educated-- after reading the posts by you.. clearly not.

Alphaville I wouldn't say your actions demonstrate much maturity or intelligence which just goes to show that sometimes 'education' doesn't make the man. Honestly what's your issue? She's entitled to post without personal attack. Save your trolling for the Aussie threads.

Actually, I think all were at fault. Dunedin did react rather strongly to Kaas (and unfairly so since he's a former resident of Dunedin). I'd just suggest a calm return to relative normality that is Kiwiscrapers.

Obviously you selectively read.
I'm the one trolling? I was merely responding to this jibe at Hamilton:

^ from the member "dunedin". Clearly I think this person is far beyond education if they do not know the whereabouts/what is The Hague.

As someone who's family is from Auckland myself I find it hilariously parochial and vulgar on their part.

So she doesn't like Hamilton ... it's no reason to turn it into a personal attack re 'education'. I wouldn't call that selective reading.

I never said she/he had to like or hate Dunedin, I just found the choice of language to be rather sub-par. I don't generally think highly/or would respond well to someone who articulates themselves by claiming they would "spit" on a place metaphorically because they think its a "cow town". (which is questionable, as Hamilton is the larger city)

hi there

Im flying into Queenstown in 2 weeks staying down on the lake front and catching some boarding on the mountains, was just wondering what you would say is the must do activities whilst staying here.

Im here for 6 days 3 days on the mountains, 2 days catching up with a few of our favourite Pinot wine makers and one day maybe Bungee jumping or just hanging out.

What would you recomend a newbie aussie do or see in Queenstown. Ive been to NZ 4 times just not to Queenstown area.

Thanks

If you have a day to spare, I'd suggest a cruise on Milford Sound. Personal preference I guess but I'd take that over bungee/hangout day any day of the week.
