Hi

I've been here 2weeks now & have to say I loved the quality of the finishing compared to some of the buildings I saw.

Positives -
Gym including steam & sauna room
Concierge & Security are great
Maintanenace (overall!)
Location - 5 mins walk to Marina walk plus carrerfour & spinneys
Taxi's easy to get
Easy to direct people - next to Marriott in Marina
Views from recreation area & gym

Negatives -
Not many people here yet (hence the sales pitch lol)
Brand new so naturally some teething problems but maintenance company seem on the ball
Can still be abit like a building site - for example, the lifts still have cardboard & wrapping.
Around 6pm all the local labourers congregate on the roads outside waiting to be picked up but I guess that's the same for all the buildings in the area around here

Re Pool - a big pool with a gated off kids area and one jacuzzi. Good recreation but missing a BBQ area.

Hope this helps!

Sherry
Who would say that

Obviously posted by an agent, surely you can see that Steve

Oh yeah, my building is a too quiet and peaceful, I would rather have to wait 20 minutes on a lift, share the pool with 30 other people after kids have been pissing in it all day and queue for the gym equipment. WE NEED MORE PEOPLE HERE!

Many thanks CAJ for e-mail address. MANUTD why do you adopt such a demeaning attitude? I can read properly, the point I was making was the emphasis Aslam placed, in the Article, was ;- If LTPP costs have been paid IN FULL, then Handover can take place 'WITHOUT HAVING TO 'SIGN THE DOCUMENTS'. As an SSP customer, I have made ALL PAYMENTS, therefore I must also be entitled to Handover, without having to sign the documents, as should anyone else in my situation. I understand, support and sympathise with LTPP customers and totally agree with your sentiments, I believe Aslam has PFIM however, through the Article, in respect of SPP customers. For those of us who, although having paid in full, still have refused to sign Addendum, should this resolve our problems then I, for one, would be eager to do what I could to progress the unacceptable position of customers on LTPP.

Nice to near some positive commnets on the tower above though -- it
seems to be an improvemnet on quality at THE POINT at present
I thank you MANUTD for your sincere approach and the fact that you mentioned the Point's investors nightmare. I was lucky to escape it but a few of my friends are now going through it. From poor quality build to SG still controlling and stitching investors with over pricing not to mention that the OA is still not recognised by RERA which means SG rules free.
For those who wants to know more contact or read the Point's thread and investors and as the say goes

THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE

C'mon! Positives like the "maintenance", when the place has been open for 2 weeks. :

Poppies, have you got a Completion Certifacate from Select, confirming you have paid in full?

My Tenant was denied entry by the Concierge, until I signed the Addendum, after showing him that certificate he allowed them in.

Moving in procedure:

Also better to inform you agent/tenant/friends etc.. pets are not allowed in the Torch, few tenancy contracts already cancelled there,at least you can save them the moving fees

Going by your experience Al, the security are not acting for the people who pay for their services, they are just being Selects bully boys.

So if you are buying all brand new furniture then you are going to have a headache trying to co ordinate deliveries to suit your designated lift slot. Otherwise your stuff gets dumped out on the street until you can rebook the lift.

Glad I don't live in a supertall, just sounds like a nightmare.

Well they are only acting on Orders, from what I can gather the system is working extremely well, a bit of order is much better than total mayhem.

My Tenants are very happy, and had no problems with getting their new furniture delivered and installed, and they to a very happy with the Concierge over at the Torch, once we dump Trident it is something we will put in place.

Al.

Hi agod, I do not have a Completion Certificate confirming that I have paid in full. I have got receipts, from Select, covering all final payments.
Please see my recent post on Select Thread, for complete update on today's 'circus'. Best wishes, poppy

Good to hear it, but they need to remember they work for and represent the interests of the owners, not the developer. That was the thrust of my point.
