Woodpecker Radar Site - skyscraperlike lattice antenna tower

The former Soviet Woodpecker Overhorizontal Radar played in cold war a great importance at cold war as syste for anti-ballistic missile detection. It was also well known for its enormous shortwave jammings, which sounded like the knocking of woodpeckers ( there the name).

The Woodpecker transmitters used a transmitting power of 10 MW and an enormous "highrise like" antenna systems: 150 metres high, 90 metres width and 900 metres long!

Here are some pictures of the former facility near Cernobyl:

Wow exciting. I have never seen images of the site. Was this one of the suspected tesla sites? I think it was from memory.

Australia has a network of over the horizon radar installations which cover all of northern Australia and much of Asia. Australia also has Pinegap and the VLF transmitters at exmouth which are also thought to be Tesla related.

It is also rumoured that that base above and the base I posted below were in tit-for-tat teslar games through much of the period from 170 onwards to certainly at least the 1990s. Does anyone know if the woodpecker site is still in operation? The Harold Holt Naval Base/Exmouth certainly is.
