It does appear a bit sanitized or surburban. I don't see people anywhere.

They are just building this part of the city from the ground up. There is more to Incheon than this. Of course it looks boring at the moment. Check it out in a couple of years.

Korean construction zones are really really clean and ordered. Different work attitude/ethic than European or American construction.

I meant the city looks very suburban. As in lack of street activity. Nothing wrong with this tower. I love it.

Just a very boring neighborhood.

You need to take into consideration that this is a developing city still under construction and I'm sure it'll be better and much more funner than boring American suburbia with continous strip malls and boring citylife (New York City is the only exception) and I'm sure you're from boring Midwest and know nothing about outside of the USA

Get real.

I realize it's a developing city.

Ignore him. He seems to always attack anyone who writes anything remotely critical of a project in Korea....this is usually followed by a comment about cities in the states being boring. My advice when commenting on projects in Korea is to just write that it's the best thing you've ever seen.

I have been often critical of the skylines of Seoul and its vicinity. Nontheless, I would not use such cynical words as "ugly and boring" to describe Songdo city. I think the Songdo city project is unprecedent and exciting.

I think that most of the buildings look pretty decent. Some quite good. I especially am looking forward to the construction of the Daniel Lebiskind mall. I myself don't really have any criticisms of the place, other than I wouldn't want to live there until more of the project is complete and more people have started to move in. Probably will be a great place to live in 5 years.

"appear surburban" "City looks boring and it's ugly" -like comments looks never "critical of A PROJECT",, but just showing how much they are ignorant of the construction site and area surroundings. and thus brian explained as "it's a developing city still under construction". I don't know what's matter... matter?

IMO, the worst prejudice from westerners/foreigners like you is like "when commenting on Korea is to just write it's the best",, but hope you see it's not true. Koreans don't want that. Actually Koreans already criticize of themselves much more harshly generally as you can't expect. Of course, koreans often seems easily annoyed criticism from other peoples, but generally, it's just about their ignorant comments without truth or real infos and prejudices in sentimental way.

perhaps, you seem to be annoyed with the always-NY-comparing comments from brian, huh? but foreigners easily utter such criticism comments provoking pride thing of koreans as the same way you don't like. At least, brian just pick up the NY/US example just cuz he's dwelling there.

I know your real mind and objective way.

by the way, you know, I found recently the fact that Kentucky blue grass started to be used at Seoul Worldcup Stadium in Sangam-dong. It's green in winter too. haha,,
(perhaps, you mailed to Seoul city government and they took action at last?)

but it's not prevailed widely around seoul yet. I doubt it's cuz of cost thing or just being at the trial stage... let's wait and see.
