I think Culwulla has forgotten this thread and he forgot to update the diagram.

Yesterday I bought corel drawing program and tried to update cul's previous diagram. i hope its fine.
I calculated the current height 118 meters (each floor is 3.8 meters) but it is probably 124 meter if every floor is 4 meters

While Wall Street Struggles, New Financial Hubs Arise

MEGAMERGERS and high-flying buyouts are nowhere to be found these days. But even in these risk-averse times, the commercial real estate industry is pressing on with enormous development projects around the world, many financed partly by big financial institutions and rich foreign investors.

In some cases, these developers are taking on substantial debt loads amid the credit crisis, striving to build new financial hubs even as Wall Street struggles.

New Songdo City, South Korea




Rising from South Korea's western coast, near Seoul, New Songdo City has become one of Asia's most ambitious planned development projects. By the time it is completed in 2015, the 1,500-acre site will encompass one of the largest business districts in Asia, with wireless technology woven into the fabric of the city.

A joint venture of the American company Gale International and Posco Engineering and Construction in South Korea, Songdo also promises to be among the most expensive exercises in private master planning in history, costing an estimated $30 billion, with the Korean government spending $10 billion in additional infrastructure improvements.

The project's backers have pulled in outside investment, including $350 million from Morgan Stanley Real Estate and $2.7 billion from the Shinhan Bank in South Korea.

CityCenter, Las Vegas

By the time it opens late next year, MGM Mirage's $8 billion city-within-a-city is expected to be among the biggest privately financed development projects in the United States. Among the 76-acre site's attractions will be a hotel-casino, five nongaming boutique hotels and residences and a retail district that the developers say will rival SoHo in New York.

MGM Mirage announced its plans for CityCenter in late 2004; it sold a 50 percent stake in the project last summer to Dubai World, the state-owned investment company, for $2.7 billion.

Yas Island, Abu Dhabi

The oil-rich kingdoms of the United Arab Emirates have poured billions of their profits into extravagant developments. Yas Island, a $40 billion project 30 minutes from Abu Dhabi and in the Persian Gulf, is no exception.

Among the features being built by Aldar Properties (whose biggest shareholders include Mubadala, the state-owned investment company) are a Ferrari-branded theme park and the Middle East's first Formula One racetrack, which will open next year.
