I guess people here just don't know any city of Belgium, except maybe Bruxelles. It would be great if you'd post some picts of those cities, so we could vote better

Antwerpen is the most beautiful town I've visited in Belgium. Its building style is not less nice than the one of Bruxelles, but the harbour is a great part of the town, very nice to visit with the many boat trips. Next time I would like to visit Luik and Gand.

Brussels has some nice areas but, let's face it, it's a mess. Brugge is lovely but it looks like plastic. I vote for Antwerp: beautiful city, the nightlife rocks and shopping there is just a pleasure.
Yeah, definitely Antwerp.

Antwerpen, Gent and Brugge are 3 really beautiful towns. The first can be considered a city looking at population, while the other 2 are smaller (200k and 100k people) but more fascinating in my opinion. I'd say probably Brugge is the most picturesque of the 3, but I love all of them. Belgium, particularly the Flemish part, is really underrated here... mostly because of bad weather!

Antwerp for sure, hands down!
Lively and "real", a bustling city, the kind of place I like. Brugge is possibly one of the most beautiful spots in Europe but as Fede (and several of my Belgian friends) say, looks "too perfect to be true" I am planning a weekend soon. I heard of a good connection by Virgin air to Brussels, and I understand it's merely one hour or something by train between them(?) There's not many picture threads about Antwerp and it's lifestyle here. Would you like to start one? I feel everybody here would appreciate. I definitely would. ciao

Tomorrow I go to Antwerp and I will take some pictures of the Central Station (Antwerpen-Centraal). If you go by train from Brussels to Antwerp: +/- 50 min.

Wow, looks like Antwerp is popular (well, I'm not surprised)
My vote goes to Antwerp too. The city just has it all: beautiful historical buildings, city by the water, fashion hotspot, hip 'n trendy, modern architecture, great nightlife, colorfull city, ...
