True. Maybe we can say TN + strip on the west coast from Mumbai to Ahmedabad is fast turning in to the Pearl delta of India.

Here is a list of Boiler manufactures in India - present and in future

BHEL -

capacity for fabricating equipment with a power generation capacity of 15,000 MW per annum. This could be further scaled up to 20,000 MW per annum by March, 2012.

L&T - Mitsubishi plant at Hazira, Guj

capacity to produce boilers and turbine generators with a capacity of 4,000 MW per annum

Alstom - Bharat Forge at Mundra, Guj

produce turbine generators with a capacity of around 5,000 MW per annum.

Toshiba - JSW at Chennai

produce turbine generators of 3,000 MW capacity every year.

Gammon-Ansaldo JV at Trichy

produce boilers to aid generation of 4,000 MW per annum.

Thermax-Babcock & Wilcox plant at Pune

aid electricity generation of 3,000 MW is to be completed by the end of 2011.

Doosan at Chennai

produce equipment to aid generation of around 3,000 MW every year.

BGR-Hitachi in Chennai

manufacturing capacity of the plants would be from 3,000 MW to 5,000 MW depending upon the size of the power plant—turbine and boiler that we get. If it is 660 MW, it is about more than 3,000 MW, if it is 1,000 MW units that is about 5,000 MW.
So we would be producing about five units of boiler and turbine per annum within this range of 660 to 1,000 MW.

Cethar Vessels,Trichy

Yeah I heard they are planning to have a tomato wasting festival. Something similar to a Spanish festival.

West coast is like Yangtze delta and NCR is like Bohai and East is like Sichuan. This comparison will fit well... PRC has branded their corridors well, India needs coin some names for branding these corridors.

Cettar Vessels, Trichy. If BGR could have choosed Perambalur, Trichy could proudly say power plant engineering capital of India.

yes in 2decades it is possible when Chennai-Vellore-Pondy merges, CBE-Tiruppur-Erode-Salem merges, Trichy-Delta TN and Nellai-Tuti-Madurai corridor gets full filled.

Arul - Chinese Ambassador to TN

Am at currently at Katmandu. It seems India vs China here. Srilanka is already lost.

BGR Energy mostly does BOP projects even if they do not get the Turbine order.

Cethar Vessels is also growing fast. BHEl Trichy will start mfg upto 1000MW equipments soon.

TN based Power Sector Contracting companies will be in news during 2011-20.

L&T yavum Piduchi pottuduvom.

Japan companys ellam chance kku wait panranga.

Is JJ listening ?

Mega investment on solar panel manufacturer is badly needed at this point of time.. otherwise in future we may be pushed to a situation to import solar panels from PRC like how wind power equipments are being imported now!

Present PM though Maoist leaders son, not pro China like others. Educated in India.

Pricewise can not beat china. But Quaility and efficiency wise. Yes.
